We had to knock on the door three times to get in. The gatekeeper was unfriendly. The museum at least let us know about her romantic, warrior and caring sides, but was not worth it as a destination.

The museum is quite small. It, however, has some great personal artifacts from Simon Bolivar and Manuela Saenz. It is a great place to visit to after lunch or during a rainy day. They lastly offer tours in English if you are proficient in Spanish.

Manuela Saenz is a fascinating woman with a fascinating story. Sadly, this pricey (as compared to other Quito attractions) museum is not fascinating. A lot of poorly documented dusty relics presented with no context whatsoever. Not worth the $4 entry fee. Better to Google her...More

Loved the museum! Such an interesting and important women that history has almost overlooked due to her sex.
