Really crap shady AF bars and touts everywhere. Went to Finn McCools bar. Which was ok. Homeless people asking for money constantly. Having worked with homeless guys for 15 years I know all the scams etc. If going be prepared and Just stay confident with a firm No. If you fall for the BS you are buying the drugs!

Keep your personal belongings and ash very secure.

If you go on your own I believe you will become a target for all sorts of scams, regardless wether male or female.

Quitó Local Government desperately need to invest in more police to monitor and protect locals and tourists who are obviously a target for criminal gangs.

No BS just the facts.

It's really just a plaza, but it has a good vibe to it. There are plenty of restaurants and coffee shops within the plaza and with the open area that they have, maybe they do entertainment too.

Hidden gem!!! Best pastries you will ever try!! There is this place behind Plaza Fosch in Hidalgo de Pinto street called Sans Souci. It is a small place where the owner makes her pastries and sells them on the spot. We were so surprised by the unbelievable high quality and good taste of the pastries!! So good!! By talking to the owner she mentioned she had studied in France!!! It is a must to go there!!!

The wife and I ended up having a few drinks there last week, as there were a few bars and restaurants all around the Plaza.

Once a thriving area for tourists and local artists, Plaza Foch is not what reviews from just a couple years ago imply. Not anymore - it is one of the most dangerous areas for tourists - it is a target because of how it attracts many younger tourists who come to party and drink. It isn't really 'authentic' - more designed for tourists, and with the desire to appease some younger Ecuadorians (just look at the very purposeful name). Not worth it - if you want night life, ask for other places - or walk around the safer parts of Old Town. Remember, also, that drinking at the altitude of Quito will hit hard, making it easy to get too drunk and be a perfect target. Avoid this place - there is so much more to see.

Foch square

This square is located in the center and surrounded by a large number of bars and restaurants for all tastes, we have the donkey, the sugar, urban, we have further south on the jose calama the indie bar, excellent food and beer, and to the north we have the bungalow, a place very popular with tourists and nationals, if you are a bad alternative we have the dome and uterus house that has a very good atmosphere, food and beer.

From the well-known cafes found in all countries to restaurants serving typical foods. Lots of music, employees inviting you to come in and see their offer.
This is the place to meet with national or foreign people, it is the center of nightlife in Quito. An endless list of bars, clubs, restaurants, pubs, live music, and night spots.

All concentrated, but if your intention is to have fun at night in Quito, you must be there. Options for every budget. Nice decoration, good energy from people. Although in other cities in Latin America there is a better atmosphere, Plaza Foch is not far behind. It is an interesting square, which houses a great variety of places, both to go partying and to eat or have a quiet drink. There is always something to do there.

Lots of police security. We met him at noon and another afternoon around 8:00 p.m. Two different things.
Now due to the pandemic and for personal safety it is not advisable to go, but at some point everything will normalize.

This place is excellent to enjoy evening. There are some restaurants where gather people when there is an Ecuador Selection match so you can eat and see match. Also you can see it in giant screens here. Is located in the center of city but not too far from Centro Historico. You can choose among several bars, if you prefer to dance typical music, pop or regueton. About food you can found fast food, typical, vegetarian, snacks or cocktails. The place has a small park called name Plaza Foch. It is easy to arrive. There is an option in Fiestas de Quito to hire a Chiva so to travel in the city.If you want to visit this place in the evening, you should to a bring coat because Quito is a cold city. The prices are several but can be a bit expensive. It is important to remember you must be aware of your belongings because can there are thieves. I recommend, you don’t wear earrings, ring of gold or silver and be accompanied by other people you know. The bars are only for people over 18 years old. This place is crowded on weekends since afternoon Friday. Near here also there is a big park called Carolina Park if you want to walk. This place is very touristy. The staff of bars are polite and attentive your needs. In almost all locals you can pay with money or card. Overall is a nice place to dance, sing or eat with friends.

We stayed a few blocks from the Plaza, so it was convenient to visit for the hop on/off bus and the restaurants, though many of them could just as well have been in Miami. It has too much of a newness and not enough oldness to it. Try the side streets instead for other restaurants. Heavy police presence at night gives you somewhat a sense of security, but stay with the more active streets after dark.

We had dinner and food there twice because it was near our hotel. It's safe and on weekend full of people. There is one restaurant on top floor which is amazing and a coffee shop which is very artsy and cool, otherwise there is not much to do on that plaza
