This is a museum Built inside the monument of the half of the world, this museum has nine levels and on the top floor there is a beautiful viewpoint, the view is completely wonderful, the service within the museum was excellent, the tour guides explained every detail perfectly. The purpose of visiting this pleasant and elegant museum was, because I... More

Museum was well done although getting in AND out difficult. No one at the desk for posted opening time and the café staff had to help locate museum worker ... who was no around to let you out either ... so you had to got to their BIG shop and ask to be let out. Not a huge sales pitch... More

in a good size city. This little museum is lovely -- explaining the back ground of Ecuador. We completely enjoyed our time there. Look at the gift shop on the second floor. It is displayed with beautiful items from Ecuador.

This museum is often left off of lists of must do sights in Quito and we found it to be a little gem of a museum. The focus is on the arts and crafts of the indigenous people of Ecuador which is fascinating. There are six floors. You take the elevator to the top and work your way down. At... More

We visited on a very quiet day and seemed to be the only people there. The museum is very well presented with ethnic artifacts depicted by region. They also sell items through the Sinchi Sacha Foundation - a fair trade organisation and we found items that had been made by a potter we met in Canelos. Very good displays -... More

The museum had lots of great cultural and historical information. I think that I normally would have loved it. However, I don't usually put myself alone in dark situations, and the museum was dark and kind of creepy, so I felt very uneasy inside. I'm not sure that all of the motion sensored lights came on, which probably didn't help.... More

It's a small museum with interesting displays about the history of indigenous people in Ecuador. They also have a little café and a store.

OAT arranged a tour and dinner at the museum. Both were excellent. The tour was appreciated due to absence of available time. Suggest for a full tour of approx 3 hours.
