If you are around for a visit to the church at the city center you will visit also the plaza. The best time is at night which makes it a lovely walk with all the lights on.

The plaza was in construction when I went. Excellent although a bit pricy restaurant at the top of the Plaza. Take the time visit all the little grottos of the art gallery underneath the church, well worth it...

We were so blessed to have scheduled this on a Sunday, I would recommend that if it's possible, also just outside the San Francisco church is a very nice restaurant we sat outside to eat, wish I could remember the name

A large plaza with a church and the usual bars, cafes and restaurants. Some buskers and parades at times as well.

Even with the construction it's worth including this Plaza in a walking tour on a beautiful day you wouldn't want to miss the Cathedral.

You will visit this place while walking downtown, nice and authentic plaza that gives you the idea of being in the past.

Still want to go for everything else but dont expect much in the plaza as it is fenced off. Still alot of people and surrounding sights.

I found the plaza interesting and full of atmosphere with local people sitting around. The sculpture in the middle is interesting to independence and the area has a number of benches for sitting. It is flanked by Spanish style buildings from the 15th century, including...More

As of our visit (October 2017) the whole area is under construction. You can't help walking by, as you tour Old town.
