Half refinished and it is incredible! If you are a church goer it is rightup there with someof the nicest active churches in the world. If you have time ask someone to tell you the story of it being built.

Very ornate and beautiful - more of an art piece than a church! Amazing craftsmanship A Jesuit church built in the 15th century and situated right in the centre of Quito. Definitely a must when in Quito.

There is a small charge for entry, but it includes a tour with a guide who spoke English well. The church is awesome, covered in gold.

Yes, they have specific schedules for masses and of course every sunday the church is closed for visits and it is only open for locals to attend a mass.
