Pretty plaza. Be careful with traffic. There are no indications of where pedestrians and cars should be. Walk around the monument and look at the view of the Armada on the other side of the plaza.

People watching, strolling, eating and drinking and absorbing history - that is what the Plaza offers. Enjoy the feeling of Valparaiso in the surrounding area, as well.

This commanding plaza would be so much better if it did not have cars and busses racing through it. You must be careful when crossing this area outside the dramatic Chilean armada building.

We stayed at the Victoria hotel across from this monument on May 21. There was a military parade celebrating the month of the sea.

A grand open space just down the hill from the the congested areas of artists and habitation that exist above the square. A good place for you if you are just getting a bit claustrophobic by all the buildings on the hillsides of Valparaiso.

This city square is near the waterfront. There’s a small market in the center selling tchotchkes to tourists. To the right, as you face the harbor, there’s a small shopping mall with restrooms.

Just some flea Market trinkets, traffic, a Starbucks and stray dogs. Not to be confused with the colorful and lively plazas in many cities in this region.
