......from the concrete and asphalt. While on one of our self-guided tours, we discovered this magnificent park with it's long pathways of crushed gravel. Our tired and sore feet appreciated a break from the hard surfaces.

Baquedano is a really famous subway station in Santiago and have a lot of buildings, but walking to the south you can find a long park, this park have big trees, green places, a library, a skate park with a lot of young people, restaurants, coffee shops, an amphitheater, a supermarket, and good places to rest.
My recommendation is don´t go after 18:00.

Personally I would not have labelled this space as being a park, rather a Green Space between streets would seem more fitting. If you are walking back from Bacquedano towards Santa Isabel via either Ramon Carnice or General Bustamente, the “Park”provides a rather nice, mostly elevated Green Space in which to do you walk. Sufficient sitting space and shade to make you path more enjoyable.

We wandered through this park when out exploring the city on our second day in Santiago. It seems to be a meeting point for students, an opportunity to get away from the nearby hubbub of the city and traffic. Probably not a place to seek out in its own right, but worth passing through.

This park is a nice option to spend the afternoon with your family, couple, or with a little group of friends.
It has a variety of attractions such as the Skating Rink, "Café literario (literary coffee)", the fountain at the middle of the park, and many other things. Also its a very known Green Area of the city.
The only problem is that sometimes is a little polluted, but it's nothing from another world.

This park is pretty nicely kept by the local council and is a nice place to walk or do some jogging.

This park is nice to walk around. There is a skate park inside, a playground for kids and fitness equipment. There are always people there. We decided to have lunch here.
The traffic does make it a bit less good though, you hear it in the park.

It is a pleasant and full of life park, however, it is not very clean and should be more taken care of.

A bit off the main drag, Parque Bustamamante had a distinctly local flair. There is the odd cafe that flanks the park. I was there on a late Sunday afternoon so it was quiet. I was nice to see the local families and couples enjoying the park. There was a good play area and I even got on the swings for a bit. There was also a police presence which I guess was necessary but was really not sure it was needed.

This urban park it is a great meeting point for young people, besides being huge there is always doing different activities like massive shows and others. Also the place has a lot of green areas and ramps for people who enjoy of the skateboard and roller skates. As it is a public place you don’t have to pay anything to be there. The bad aspect is that there isn’t any public restroom so you must look for one around the park
