Nice neighborhood with many good places to eat and bars. Better to visit at night, nothing special during the day.

Bario Italia is a surprise. Every corner reveals something new, unique or fun. Nice cafes and a variety of restaurants. One of my favorite places. If you like antiques, this is a must.

Unique area to people watch. The shops are pretty pricy a silver and lapis ring $475.00 USD. All the restaurants extremely crowded.

Located very near to Santiago down town, it is the perfect place for a quiet and nice walk, with all kind of shops (Hand craft, antiques, furniture, art galleries, among others) and several very good restaurants, coffee shops (not like the red square) and bar´s....More

Barrio Italia has been completely transformed over the last 2 years. It is a safe place to walk around, some very quirky shops, great restaurants, coffee shops, antique shops, furniture shops, bars, etc. It reminds me of California, slowly but surely the neighborhood is being...More

The area has a feel of a treasure trove, with antiques mixed with cafes and ultra modern designer shops. However the prices are high so maybe the local rents are too high, this is a good tourist place but needs less parking so it is...More

Well worth spending a day here for the excellent array of shops and cafes/restaurants. Lots of unique Chilean made items to chose from. A short walk from Santiago centre but so quiet and laid back. The food was good with so many choices, Italian, Peruvian,...More

The best time to go is in the evening around sunset. Shops are still open and bars are just starting too. There are so many small shops that you can get lost in the neighboorhood for hours. Lots of instagramable moments in this area.
