At the time of our visit there was an impressive exhibit of Greco-Roman art from the Vatican Museum collection in Rome. Check for exhibits at this museum when you are in Santiago de Chile.

On Election Day Sunday, this modern cultural center was one of the few things open in central Santiago. Many young families, teens, and young adults were visiting a very good exhibit of items from the Vatican Museums in Rome, documenting life in Imperial Rome. This...More

A beautiful house and a nice museum with some attractions. During our visit there were some attractions for the kids (but I'm not sure if that's always the case). The entrance is free during the weekdays until noon.

The place is underneath La Moneda Palace. Great way to see both the presidential palace and a interesting arts / museum. Setting is very nice and apart from exhibitions there are nice cafes and a great craftsmanship shop with artesian textiles and other objects.

After the bombing of the presidential palace, and the dictatorship was over the space under the place has been turned into a cultural center that houses travelling art exhibits and then also has cultural workshops for children and families. It's a wonderful venue.

It's really cool that this center exists under La Moneda. I tried to go before 12 to visit the exhibition for free, but the line was extremely long.
