Forget the hype. not particularly interesting. There's really only 1 street with restaurants. There might be a craft type market but it was uninteresting. There are some interesting museums/ galleries there which are interesting. It's hardly a 'tourist attraction'. See for yourself.

The first view is not too good, but once you start walking you can feel part of the chilean people; do not forget to visit Patio Bellavista, a local market to buy artesanal souvenirs.

Enjoyed walking through city on a Saturday. Was careful but was able to take pictures with camera. Santiago has definitely changed in the 12 years since we last visited. Area great to shop, eat and walk around on spring day.

Another good place for a night visit. Plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from. Also, diverse pricing ranges and diverse dishes and drinks to pick. Depending of where you are at, sightseeing becomes nicer or "dangerous" as they call it in here. Not really...More

Great neighbourhood to visit and just stroll the streats. Atmospere is lively and lots of casual art to admire. Many lively restaurants to pick from. Would love to come back here again.

If you like to overpay for souvenirs and food, this is the place for you. Nice to walk through this square, but not much more. It is can be annoying walking in this area around dinner time, with competitive restaurant hosts approaching you on the...More

Popular with a younger crowd there are many entertainment venues selling beer on an industrial scale. Some shopping and multiple eating possibilities

This is a fun section to visit for an evening meal and a stroll. It is only 10 minutes from the center or from Vitacura and has a wonderful, relaxed feel to it. Good music joints also.

We stayed in Barro Bellavista during a "pit stop" on the way to Easter Island. We were pleased with our choice and felt it worked well for us. We stayed just a few blocks from Patio Bellavista, where we went to change money. It also...More

Very nice. During the day, it is a bit quieter but in the evening, at the weekends, it boils. Millions of good looking people, up and down, in the restaurants, pubs, clubs and on the streets around the neighbourhood.

Hello Colorado. Great walking, food and drink. The problem you will have is choosing which one. Ask for a LAN shuttle to town if you are flying with them.. Maybe free transportation. Enjoy it's better than the airport

Bellavista Patio would be a great place to be on New Year's eve! Many restaurants, bars and live music. Enjoy!
