Balmaceda Parque is a pleasant stretch of green starting just beyond the Salvador Metro stop and continuing on to Plaza Italia. The stroll from Salvador to the Plaza takes about 15 min. It's not a particularly fancy or upscale park. There is a cafe along the way and good views of the river. You have to watch out for the speeding bicyclists, but that's normal. We were on a mission to visit the Bella Vista area and decided to get off the Metro at Salvador and continue on foot. Glad we did. It was a lovely morning.
