Pablo's collection reflects in drawings, photos, artifacts and sounds (bird calls especially) what those of us who love the history of Puerto Varas treasure most. He sees it as a kind of anti-museum that takes the sometimes stale presentation format of most museums. In his multi-storied building the ceilings are hung with items from the past that dangle above you... More

If you like strange and interesting mixtures of old object you will love this place. This is the finest museum of cachureo I have ever seen. The creator of this weird and wonderful mess, Pablo, is an incredible artist and a really nice guy who took the time to explain not only the origins of his museum but also his... More

It's an abandoned house remodeled by an artist Pablo Fiero, that also offers painted and photo miniatures and antiques for purchase. The museum presents different local antiques etc. The admission is free with a voluntary contribution.

From the outside it's a cross between a fairy tale cottage and a festival acid trip! I walked past this place several times before I found it open one day by chance - the opening house were a bit ad hoc, although now it's Spring, maybe it'll be a bit more regular. The museum is crammed to the rafters with... More

Tried the place twice and it was closed both times. Very disappointed as it looks really interesting from outside. No indication when it is open. Notice states voluntary donations but the place was locked up.

We enjoyed this quirky little place of a very talented artist. Lots of fun stuff to look at, including his work and meeting him.

Give an artist a run-down house and set him to it -- from rebuilding to acquiring historical curiosities to displaying his own art. This house is totally ensouled by the remarkable Pablo, who, as he will tell you "Is the Museum." Not to be missed.
