Falklanders take con5inued pride over Mount Longdon. Our driver on our return from Volunteer Point, took the time to explain the battle at Mount Longdon. A helicopter is burnt and rusting along the highway as a relic of the battle. Fascinating history that the Falklanders...More

Like something out of Lord of the Rings, this windswept desolation has stunning views across the battlefields of 1982.

This final stop in the battlefield tour is intense. Driving there is an adventure, and it is beautiful. However, when you get to the top of the Mount, you forget about the sights and focus on how hard it must have been to fight the...More

The battlefield has never been touched since the end of the war all those years ago. The relics of the battle are still visible, our guide was a local chap who had recorded some of the events of the invasion on his cassette recorder. Brought...More

I recently paid my respects at Mount Longdon, scene of some of the most intense fighting during the Falklands conflict back in 1982.
