The wetlands is on the Pasir Ris side of the Sungei Serangoon, close to the Serangoon Harbour and Tidal Gates.

There are some wild boars running around from Pasir Ris to this area, stay clear of them.

This is an educational park, it show how water is harvested from the rain, flow to the ground, and filter using natural material.

There is an iconic bridge that crosses over to the Punggol side, very scenic area for photos.

Further down there is the Serangoon Harbour Tidal Gates, also the Eastern Entrance to Coney Island.

Lovely place for walks, but it get very hot during the day, stay hydrated and bring sunscreen !

Learn how nature and plants are use to filter the water. Take your time to observe wild birds at the park to hunt for foods.

Halls wetlands is converted from an old trash dumping ground. Suggest to visit at about 4pm. Hike to the serangoon dam and then head towards the social innovation park for cold beer and a relaxing evening.

This evening, we decided to go to Lorong Halus Wetlands to take a walk. We have seen many cyclists coming and going from this direction and had heard that it connects to the Waterway@Punggol.

Interestingly, the Lorong Halus Wetlands used to be a landfill where water was collected and treated to prevent it passing into the Serangoon Reservoir.

There's a Visitor Centre where one can learn more about the Wetlands and what the Singapore government has done to prevent water from polluting our reservoir.

You could start here to begin your nature trail walk.

This is a small park. We took Punggol LRT and alighted at Riviera station, walked about 20 minutes to reach the red steel bridge.

Take some time off in early morning or late evening to stroll wetland by Sungei Serangoon reservoir. The afternoon weather is not the ideal time to visit the place, too hot. A quiet recreation spot with green place for relaxation, fresh air, exercise, hiking, walking, bird watching and cycling during weekends and holidays away from city life

In the morning, veil of mist cast over the reservoir, creating a dreamy atmosphere accompanied by the chirping sounds of birds. Visitors are often amazed by the refreshing view and awesome sunrise. Indeed a place to be for beautiful sunrise photography on top of sunrise bridge. There is usually a regular group of seniors often seen at one end of look-out platform doing tai-chi exercises in the morning as I passed by during regular morning walk. Other than that, there is nothing much to do except to enjoy the view of reservoir cycling along Punggol Promenade towards Punggol Point Park and Coney Island.

The place was once Singapore biggest dumping center sitting next to Serangoon River. Now it has been transformed into a wetland and recreational area. A pavilion across the bridge carried useful information for visitors, explaining methods of wetland which is interesting and educational to young and old. Seats are provided for rest and relax away from hot sun. It also allows visitors to gaze out at pond filled with various species of insects, fishes and butterflies . One common reptile seen here is monitor lizard lurking in the waters.

The place is located in the remote part of Singapore, end of Lorong Halus & Pasir Rise Farm 3 and the nearest Punggol LRT station is Riveria. Still one has to walk for another 15-20 minutes to reach the location.

Took an Exercise walk from Lorong Halus Wetlands to Punggol Settlement. There were many cyclists along the route and one has to be careful. At the end of our walk, we chance upon a group of boys who tried their hands at fishing. They were in luck and managed to catch a fish and took the opportunity to have some photos taken. The fish was released back to the pond by the boys later.

Sunrise and sunset are equally breathtaking at this location. Recommended for photography. Totally refreshing to have that walk along the scenic route, crossing the Lorong Halus red bridge to the wetlands area.

Love this place whenever I cycle from Tampines to Pasir Ris and crossover to Punggol where one can either go to Coney Island or Seletar Airbase from here. Love the breeze and toilet stop to fill up water and pit stop.
