I have attended the SCC 7s for the past six years and the 2016 facilities were a disappointment. The seating has been down graded to a level where if you actually want to be able to sit and watch the rugby 7s you can't because we had drunk Expats and their kids and their drunk socialising wives standing in front... Stumps in the Cricket Club is a great place to sit outside and enjoy drinks with friends and some delicious bites like oysters, their spicy lamb pizza and other things. The Cricket Club is a members Club though, so you need to be with a member.

SCC is a great club in the centre of Singapore and is the oldest sports club in Singapore. It is a great place to relax with friends and was a superb place to watch the F1 Night Race.

This is a members only club, however, if you are relocating to Singapore, and you want to be involved in sport and still have a good place to eat and meet friends then you should take a look at this club. Some of the sports here are tennis, football, hockey etc. The staff are excellent especially Molly at the front... More

I really liked the location around the historic waterfront area and the Indian food was pretty good. I think it was worth it to go and experience it, especially sitting on the veranda of the oldest club in Singapore on a wonderful balmy night with friends. If you are visiting you should know that you must be a member or... More

Excellent lunch and impeccable service, for an excellent price. Staff are welcoming and remember everyone by name. The mulligatawny soup is highly recommended.

The Singapore Cricket Club is very much part of the Singapore establishment, having been founded in 1852. It's whole ambience and decor reeks of history and days long gone, with its starched linen table clothes, silver settings, tuxedoed waiters and a delightful octogenarian major domo who is still employed by the SCC. I was the guest of my Singaporean host... More

I was a guest of a long standing dear friend. It is always a pleasure to come to the SCC, the spectacular views of the Singapore skyline are always welcome. A handful of Tiger beers on the veranda, followed by Mulligatawny starter, excellently done at the SCC I may add, chilli chicken, baby Kai lan and mutton curry. Delicious. Washed... More

Staying in Marina Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Marina Bay
More of a mini city than a neighbourhood in the traditional sense, the iconic Marina Bay aims to dazzle and entertain visitors of all kinds. This is the Singapore found in glossy brochures, featuring a world-class hotel, casino, shops, restaurants, bars, and other attractions all geared towards pure entertainment. The SkyPark at Marina Bay Sands provides a stunning view of the city, a must-see photo opportunity for visitors and locals alike. The ArtScience Museum always has a top-quality exhibition, and Gardens by the Bay is a fascinating manifestation of the government’s vision of Singapore as a “city in a garden”. Enticing Marina Bay is well worth a visit.
