We went with a friend of ours who is a member for lunch and the food there was very tasty and in large quantities. One minor issue however was that we arrived in flip flops and t-shirts which the staff were a bit concerned about and so we had to sit a bit tucked out of the way.

This venerable testament to the British Empire occupies perhaps THE most prime position in all of Singapore, adjacent to the MerLion, looking up the great swathe of green known as "the Padang" in the direction of Raffles, with the whitewashed walls of St Andrew's Cathedral in the near distance and the columned National Gallery of Singapore immediately on the left... I have attended the SCC 7s for the past six years and the 2016 facilities were a disappointment. The seating has been down graded to a level where if you actually want to be able to sit and watch the rugby 7s you can't because we had drunk Expats and their kids and their drunk socialising wives standing in front... Stumps in the Cricket Club is a great place to sit outside and enjoy drinks with friends and some delicious bites like oysters, their spicy lamb pizza and other things. The Cricket Club is a members Club though, so you need to be with a member.

SCC is a great club in the centre of Singapore and is the oldest sports club in Singapore. It is a great place to relax with friends and was a superb place to watch the F1 Night Race.

This is a members only club, however, if you are relocating to Singapore, and you want to be involved in sport and still have a good place to eat and meet friends then you should take a look at this club. Some of the sports here are tennis, football, hockey etc. The staff are excellent especially Molly at the front... More

I really liked the location around the historic waterfront area and the Indian food was pretty good. I think it was worth it to go and experience it, especially sitting on the veranda of the oldest club in Singapore on a wonderful balmy night with friends. If you are visiting you should know that you must be a member or... More

Staying in Marina Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Marina Bay
More of a mini city than a neighbourhood in the traditional sense, the iconic Marina Bay aims to dazzle and entertain visitors of all kinds. This is the Singapore found in glossy brochures, featuring a world-class hotel, casino, shops, restaurants, bars, and other attractions all geared towards pure entertainment. The SkyPark at Marina Bay Sands provides a stunning view of the city, a must-see photo opportunity for visitors and locals alike. The ArtScience Museum always has a top-quality exhibition, and Gardens by the Bay is a fascinating manifestation of the government’s vision of Singapore as a “city in a garden”. Enticing Marina Bay is well worth a visit.
