About
Step into the Flower Dome and you'll be standing in awe of nature. Spectacular and innovative in design, it is one of the icons of Bay South Garden. The Flower Dome replicates the cool-dry climate of Mediterranean regions like South Africa, California and parts of Spain and Italy. Home to a collection of plants from deserts all over the world, it showcases the adaptations of plants to arid environments. Stop and smell the flowers in the colourful changing displays of the Flower Field, which reflects different seasons, festivals and themes.

Gorgeous blooms in a spacious dome
I visited last week and found the Flower Dome to be better value than the Cloud Forest. Many varieties of trees and plants inside a spacious dome and during my visit there was also a spcial presentation of chrysanthemum flowers, many brightly coloured blooms displayed beautifully. I would definitely recommend a visit here.

    Wonderfull garden
It is as if you are in the garden of Eden; the air is crisp, the flowers and trees all smell wonderful, and there is a general sense of calm and contentment. There is no question that the place will be clean. The trees and flowers have been meticulously cared after. It is possible for us to become familiar with a wide variety of plants and flowers. In addition to that, we have the opportunity to take stunning photographs to serve as remembrances of the breathtaking occasions that took place within the floral dome.

    Very beautifull garden
When you come here during the day, you will immediately have the feeling that you are at home since the air conditioning is so powerful. This is an absolutely incredible location. There are many various kinds of flowers here for people who have a passion for flowers. The air in this location is brisk and even frosty at times. This location attracts a large number of travellers from all around the world.

    Wonderful dome
I came here in Nov whose Christmas setup has already been there and it was very beautiful. If you like to see the flower clearly, better to come during daylight but I came here during night time. The flowers were not that clear to see but the lights from the Christmas setup were very wonderful.

    Nice to visit
Part of Gardens by the Bay complex and is a chargeable attraction. When we visited the seasonal flower display was of chrysanthemums, which were very pretty but we would have preferred something like orchids, as being British we see plenty of chrysanthemums. But the rest of the dome was very interesting and included some huge trees which all looked very healthy.

    Delightful
Very nice but the cloud forest steals the show. The disributions of plants and diversity are incredible. Was surprised to see kids walk up and grab some displays without anyone stopping them but I di not see anything broken. Very clean and the entrance staff is very nice and helpful

    Brilliant concept beautifully executed
This is lovely. It is pricey but worth it. It is laid out beautifully with various themes. Plants are in great condition and some excellent sculptures and decorative structures give a wonderful feel to the place. Lots of beautifully designed dragons for the Chinese New Year.

    Urban oasis
Air conditioned glass dome containing a multitude of flowers and trees from around the world. Great for everyone. Highlight was the papier-mâché displays that are lit up in the evening for the Lunar New Year period

    Just stunning
We came here 1st before doing the cloud forest upon the recommendation of a local. The flower displays are just stunning, and as our visit coincided with Chinese New Year, they had dragons and other very colourful displays. Words can not describe how gorgeous this attraction is. We just purchased the combined ticket for cloud forest and flower dome whilst there. It was during the week so even though it was busy, the weekend would be much worse.

We visited the Flower Dome in combination with the cloud dome as it wasn't much more expensive. In all honesty I wish we had saved the the little extra we paid.
While it has a great variety of plants the number of people taking photos of themselves ruined it. You can barely walk a couple of steps without waiting for someone to pose & take endless snaps. It ruined the whole experience and we found ourselves rushing to get out.

The flower Dome is nice, but nothing special. Any Botanical garden in Europe provides more plants and flowers. In Germany there are LGS or BGS which are much nicer.
In June they showed the rose garden, with many different roses from southern Europe. I don't have as many roses at home, but my garden looks similar.
So you can skip it and focus on the cloud dome.

as a couple in our very early 60s we were a bit skeptical as to what this was, exactly.
Still, all in...I bought tickets, and it was worth every cent.
For one thing, it's air conditioned, and for another....it's absolutely astonishing. The plants are in sections, themed areas. My favourite was the succulents, and I don't like succulents. The designs, the planting, ...it was just incredible. Everyone was saying so. So if you enjoy a garden, go look at it, you can buy the ticket in conjunction with other things in the park to get a bit of a discount. You can do this in the daytime even if it's hot. GREAT visit.

This is one of two indoor conservatories at Gardens by the Bay - the other being the Cloud Forest which is better. This is still good and worth spending an hour to stroll through. It seems that the exhibits change from time to time, when we went the central area was dominated by a tulip exhibit. It was exceptionally crowded when we went which also impacted the enjoyment.

So pretty!!

The flowers, plants and trees and often placed into country sections which I quite liked.

There were so many plants and trees from South Africa which were a genuine treat to see!

There was also a display of tulips to celebrate the tulip season in the Netherlands which I thought was lovely.

We visited Gardens by the Bay during our trip to Singapore, and without a doubt, the Flower Dome was one of the attractions we had to see.

The Flower Dome, located within Gardens by the Bay, houses a variety of tree and flower species, meticulously arranged and planted in a uniquely designed dome. Each plant is carefully separated and categorized by its region of origin, with each section decorated with really cool sculptures.

The Flower Dome impressed us with the meticulous detail, boasting a truly beautiful design. As we walked through each area, it felt as though we were being greeted by the trees and flowers themselves.

Our time spent in the dome was of the highest quality, thoroughly enjoyed by all. Furthermore, the dome offers a pleasantly cool temperature, providing a welcome escape from the heat of Singapore.

Fantastic done of flower. If you love flowers you will throughly enjoy this experience. I have always wanted to visit the tulips farms and this have you a piece of that.

It does get crowded so go early to enjoy the exhibits. There is WiFi which is helpful.

We ate at the restaurant in the flower dome Hortus. It was good not wonderful but the ambience was great. It was very crowded at 4 pm so try to go early.

The tulip garden is filled with rainbow colors, the red ones so vibrant like the gorgeous lips of a sweet lady. The landscape so well-sculptured like in dreamland Netherlands with the windmill immersed in a sea of tulips.

I came here to attend the CERT 20th anniversary event organized by the Emergency Preparedness and Emergency Engagement (C2E) EXCO Council of the People's Association. The sumptuous buffet dinner spread dotted with the cart food of satay, laksa, oyster omelets, carrot cake was a gastronomic exploration. Intermittently, we took our leisure stroll into this wonderland of tulip flowers. It was like hypnosis performed on us and we followed the crowd with eyes glued to the mesmerizing view of the colorful sea of tulips. The dinner and the free entrance to Flower Dome was meant to appreciate the hard work of CERT members for their commitment to the CERT movement.

Tulips bloom gracefully in Spring but comes late Spring and early Summer, the tulip foliage and leaves will decay and start to fade away. The next bloom cycle will continue in the next Spring. Flowers may bloom again but a person never has a chance to be young again.

I remember the Tang Dynasty poem `<金缕衣>:

劝君莫惜金缕衣,劝君惜取少年时. 花开堪折直须折,莫待无花空折枝.

The poetry of the Witch of Gold: Don't cherish the beautiful clothes woven with money but cherish the time of youth. Like a blooming flower, pick it in time. If not picked, when the spring flowers fall, you can only take the branches.

Cherish your youth and don't idle away your time and regret when you are old.

We went back to the Flower Dome in Gardens by the Bay, it is one of our favourite places to visit in Singapore.
It is quite different to the Cloud Forest and if you are going to see them both I would advise seeing the Flower Dome first as many people including me think the Cloud Forest is the more….well…. jaw dropping and you don’t want to be slightly underwhelmed which you might be.

The Flower Dome is also amazing of course, full of themed areas displaying a huge variety of flowers and plants from geographical locations as well as amazing artworks.
When we were there the staff were just setting up the cherry blossom display which is always impressive, we were visiting in March so the trees were not in bloom but we have been in April and it’s wonderful and perfect for photos!

If you go in the afternoon you can spend a leisurely hour or two then visit the Cloud Forest and be in time for the Sky Tree show in the evening.
