With a spirited eight and seven year old it will take about forty minutes to an hour to get through without too much trouble. - Melanie TNew York City, New York4,599 contributionsWorth visiting and not a tourist trapThe Cloud Forest is truly a sight to behold. It’s everything you see on all those travel shows and more. It definitely lives up to its expectations and is not one of the “tourist traps”. We came by on a Thursday at around 4 pm . We had a combined Gardens by the Bay ticket, which included entrance to the Cloud Forest and the Flower Dome. We purchased it through Klook, and they have various combo options. I’d definitely recommend purchasing tickets beforehand because the tickets to purchase on site looked like it would take an extra 20 minutes or so. By pre-purchasing, it was a breeze. There was no wait and they just scanned our ticket barcode. Inside, you’ll want to take a pic with the iconic waterfall at the entrance. Luckily, it wasn’t too crowded at the time we went, so we didn’t have to wait too long. There are different levels of flowers and plants you can take the elevator too. At the time of year we went (September 2022), they were prepping for an Avatar exhibit so it seems like there might be something special going on at certain times if you’re lucky enough to catch it. There are a lot of high winding walkways, so just beware if you’re afraid of heights. For us, it took about 30 to 45 minutes to walk through and explore everything from entry to exit. If you only have time for one museum, I would prefer this one over the Flower Dome because this one is much more unique.Visited September 2022Travelled as a coupleWritten 6 January 2023
- ShazrazmatazAdelaide, Australia996 contributionsWonderful experienceThis is our second visit to the cloud forest. It’s beautiful and well maintained. The avatar exhibition had finished a couple of days earlier, a little disappointing. There were of avatar thing still still around. The waterfall is picturesque, the whole place is just beautiful and good for taking some great photos.Visited January 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 6 January 2023
- UlyanaAlmaty, Kazakhstan905 contributionsWaterfall and green mountainNice and unusual place - there is a lot of green inside. You can be lifted on the top and go down around the green mountain with waterfall. For me it’s much interesting than Flower dome. It’s not so cold inside, but be ready with some shirt.Visited January 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 6 January 2023
- Mrs FEast Riding of Yorkshire, United Kingdom1,506 contributionsWow! We loved itThe best dome to see if you only want to go in one, this dome has the wow! But both are worth seeing. We visited late morning and the area wasn’t busy. The added additions of Avatar was tastefully done with the odd element dotted here and there, however this didn’t take away from the beauty of the waterfalls and plants. We spent a good couple of hours in the dome and took a relaxed stroll around all the levels, some of the Avatar attractions we looked at, others we bypassed. I’ve never seen anything as impressive as the waterfalls cleverly added to the levels, what’s not to like and enjoy. The dome is nice and cool which is refreshing to get out of the heat for a while.Visited November 2022Written 13 January 2023
- Ellen L2 contributionsEnjoyable experienceI attended this exhibition when the avatar exhibition was on. Haven’t seen the film but I enjoyed this none the less. I thought it was a little overpriced however the waterfalls and overall experience was wonderful. Very relaxing, air conditioned, enjoyable way to spend a few hours in Singapore esp in the middle of the day. I went for a combination ticket with the flower dome but wished I had just gone for the cloud on its own or the yearly ticket to get access to all parts of gardens by the bay. I think children and families would really enjoy the interactive parts.Visited January 2023Travelled soloWritten 13 January 2023
- Jo MackenAntwerp, Belgium9 contributionsInteresting wit the special Avatar insertsWhat a nice experience, especially the sky promenade. The misting experience was quite nice even though it makes it impossible to make decent pictures until the mist has cleared. Loved the special Avatar insertsVisited January 2023Written 15 January 2023
- DodgeyAusLoxton, Australia417 contributionsWorth a visitI visited here while the Avatar display was on. Although that was good, in some ways I felt it detracted from the actual cloud forest itself. I had to make a conscious effort at times to focus on the plants and forest - which was why I was there. The other issue with the Avatar display was the huge number of people who all wanted their selfies with it. The forest itself with its different levels was very enjoyable, with some absolutely stunning plants and flowers. The flower dome was okay, but nowhere near as good as I was expecting. I certainly wouldn't go back there.Visited January 2023Travelled soloWritten 19 January 2023
- Hemanth ReddyTirupati, India238 contributionsGood but expensive if taken separatelyAs it’s closed on 9th jan for maintenance we could not take common tickets and it’s S$45 and we could go only in the night. Not totally satisfied at that hour as night views inside are not so great or photogenic. Try to avoid in the night and book a combined ticket only. The avatar theme is ok and not so great and to my expectations .. the graphic photo could not be downloaded and could not get help at the last hour … A must see place but in day time with a combo ticketVisited January 2023Travelled with familyWritten 21 January 2023
- ripkengamersRochester, New York134 contributionsIndoor WonderworldOne of the eye-catching glass domes harbors a tropical world of its own. Slowly walk bottom to top or top to bottom and take in some of the plush vegetation, waterfalls, and orchids beyond belief. Walk the glass bottom sky-walk overlooking the lush dome.Visited November 2022Written 9 February 2023

I would recommend visiting Cloud Forest in the evening because when it gets dark it turns into a truly magical place with different lighting. The cloud forest was Avatar themed when we visited and it had great sections to create our own avatar, dance with our avatar shadow and life-like animatronics of Avatar creatures. The misting hour makes the whole cloud forest look like a rain forest.

Part of Gardens by the Bay complex and is a chargeable attraction. We didn’t expect to enjoy this too much as we’re not particularly fans of Avatar, but we absolutely loved our visit. There was so much to see, and all the plants, trees and flowers are amazing. Well worth seeing if you are in the park.

Beautiful! Lots of spots for excellent photos. I went when they were featuring Avatar stuff. I didn't watch the movie but it didn't take away from my experience. Best thing about this place? It's AIR CONDITIONED.

I really like this place. After struggling with the hot weather in SG, this place is a must. It’s cold, aircon was really good.
This place is huge indoor area with lots of tree, indoor waterfall, with those descriptions.
I suggest you to come here with lot of spare times and full tummy. Because you can take photos a lot, and I stayed there for around 3 hours and none of food there.
Toilet was really clean and smells good.
There’s also an escalator and elevator so it’s a wheel chair friendly.

Nearly every review will say how stunning the waterfall and greenery is, talk about the avatar theme ect… I agree and concur with most comments. Not being an avatar fan myself, it wasn’t a big thing personally for me. We walked in just as the mist started and it was spectacular. A bit of luck there as we had issues trying to find where to buy tickets and then the line up to actually get in was difficult. Our first and only experience in Singapore of organise chaos, once we got through that mess we were very pleasantly surprised. It was really nice to walk around at our own pace to explore. Bit expensive but overall the experience was worth it. If you can be there for the misting times you’ll be in for a treat.

A good place to go if it's raining as it it's all under cover. The way the paths and upper walkways wind around the tropical flowers, plants and water falls is amazing !

This was a fantastic experience, the Avatar theme blended into the surroundings perfectly. You are able to discover different levels within the fauna, simply magical. The film show and animation was a great addition for everyone not just the younger visitors. Tickets easy to purchase on site.

If you purchase it online than you can save a lot and is worth it buying the package with 2 attractions. We saved a lot doing this, and on the day you go to the ticket desk showing your email receipt and they will give you the tickets so you dont need to get in the queue

can someone explain to me the difference between flower dome and cloud forest and can you reccomend it to me which is more worth it to visit?
Mr_RN
Lynnwood, WA212 contributions
Your admission grants you access to both, so if time isn't a factor, see them both.
Flower dome is a large, inside garden with flowers and plants from around the world organized by geographical location. Depending on how long you want to look at the flowers, it could take you 45 minutes or several hours.
Cloud forest is connected to flower dome (via the gift shop). Cloud forest is like anything anywhere else in the world. When you first walk in, you're greeted by a large, indoor waterfall. You make your way around the exterior moving upwards, experiencing the flora of a cloud forest. Once at the top, you then descend through the middle of the structure to learn more about geology.
If I was only doing one, I would definitely do Cloud Forest.

Can I go only for the Cloud Forest? Only see tickets for both attractions.. just want to go to the Cloud Forest and don't want to pay for both.
Gibt es ein Ticket nur für den Cloud Forest? Ich möchte nur diesen Besuchen und sehe aber nur Tickets für beide Gärten... es müsste doch auch günstigere Tickets geben, nur für den Cloud Forest!?

No, they are at 2 different locations. But they take place at the same time. 7.45 pm and 8.45 pm daily. One is right outside the marina bay mall and the other is in the super tree grove. Both are must watch.
