We take hop on - hop off tours in many cities, especially if we visit the first time. The one in Singapore is well organized, buses run well, they were not crowded (out of season), the audio worked well and the guide text was OK. Taking the red and yellow line tours would be just enough as first experience and... More

Unless you take the full journeys of several of the routes you are better to take the taxis to get around Singapore. The idea of hop on hop off is good but the buses are too infrequent and because there are several routes you are likely to need to do considerable planning to get from a to b.

They don't stick to timings rigidly but if you have lots of time it's ok. Good route with the main city attractions covered. You are pretty much left to your own devices once you are in your seat, as it's a driver and a tape recording. Top tip: get a brochure and check the individual bus stop numbers against the... More

We were very impressed with what was on offer re this Hop on Hop Off bus company, and by presenting our Singapore Airline Boarding Pass we were given an excellent discount. Great photo opportunities from the top deck of the bus, and we were given headphones so we had no problem hearing the commentary. Staff at the terminal at Suntec... More

We took a 24h ticket for the hop on and off bus in Singapore and it was a really good experience. You can take the bus at several points in the city and take different tours. The bus is very organized and all the drivers we had were kind and helpful. You can chose 7 different lines and we paid... More

See all the attractions and neighborhoods, on some redundant lines (red, green, blue, brown....). Convenient and easy. We bring our own noise cancelling headphones and the narrative is much better. Well organized.

What a disappointment, how can a tourist based company employ a driver who speaks no english (incidently English is the national language ). We got on the wrong bus after being told this is the correct one, after arriving at the wrong destination all we could get out of the driver was wrong bus so had to return to city.... More

2 day pass is only 6$ more than a 1 day. Visits most of the sites. You can use as a taxi. They don't always run to time If you have back problems can be very bouncy on the upper deck.

We always take advantage of these tours when we visit a new city and this proved by be very well organised :) Even though it was Chinese New Year the red route was running and the commentary provided a wealth of information about the various attractions in the city - would always recommend !

They got trip advisor certificate of excellence reward in 2012 and then from there it went downhill - they advertise that they have enough buses but every bus we climbed was overcrowded and we had to stand. The advertised frequencies of 15 to 20 minutes to wait for a bus is also incorrect. We had to wait 35 minutes and... More

Staying in Marina Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Marina Bay
More of a mini city than a neighbourhood in the traditional sense, the iconic Marina Bay aims to dazzle and entertain visitors of all kinds. This is the Singapore found in glossy brochures, featuring a world-class hotel, casino, shops, restaurants, bars, and other attractions all geared towards pure entertainment. The SkyPark at Marina Bay Sands provides a stunning view of the city, a must-see photo opportunity for visitors and locals alike. The ArtScience Museum always has a top-quality exhibition, and Gardens by the Bay is a fascinating manifestation of the government’s vision of Singapore as a “city in a garden”. Enticing Marina Bay is well worth a visit.
