- Becky J2 contributionsHighly recommended tea experienceSuperb experience! Everything about the Tea Appreciation Experience was wonderful. The teas are delicious and the host was knowledgable and engaging. You are given a short demonstration of the ceremony, and then left to savour your drink peacefully. The whole environment is beautiful with low wooden tables and hanging scrolls, creating a calm and enjoyable space. Even the little touches are there - the WiFi is good and strong, there js a tasty little shortbread biscuit[UK]/cookie[US], and a digital menu of more food and drink choices to explore but no pressured up-selling. I was really looking forward to this and it really delivered. Whether you’re quite interested in tea like I am, or a complete novice, I’d recommend coming and having the experience.Visited October 2023Travelled soloWritten 2 October 2023

- Rodrigo ARio de Janeiro, RJ3 contributionsExperience the Magic of Tea at Tea ChapterTea Chapter is a mighty fine place for tea lovers, I tell you! The atmosphere is so peaceful and cozy, it makes you feel right at home. The selection of teas is top-notch, offering some darn good flavors. We tried the Shui Jin Gui, which means "Golden Turtle" in Chinese, and it was a wonderful experience. The folks working there really know their stuff and guide you on how to brew the tea just right. With some tasty snacks to go along, Tea Chapter is a special spot for anyone wanting to enjoy and learn more about tea, whether you're an expert or just curious.Visited May 2024Travelled with familyWritten 25 May 2024

Choose from different types of seating - japanese, korean or oriental. The staff is helpful and taught us how to brew the tea we ordered.Visited September 2024Travelled with familyWritten 20 September 2024

Indoor Diners are required to be vaccinated. Government issued tracetogether tokens to all residents of Singapore who require them. I am one who responded to Government's call to vaccinate and carries my tracetogether token wherever I go. I went to tea chapter and produced my token for them to check my vaccination status. One of the bosses(according to a staff who served us)who is an elderly lady, told me they cannot check and tell me to download the tracetogether app so as I can proved my vaccination status. I told her that with the token, every eatery I went to can verify my vaccination status. She refused to check my vaccination status with my tracetogether token and refused me entry and said "too bad" if I cannot proved to them my vaccination status. I feel as a place who charge at least $20++ for a cup of lousy chinese tea (of course the better tea cost more)she should at least have the courtesy to be a little bit more polite. I don't encourage people to patronise such establishment when the bosses have such bad attitude. Maybe they feel they have alot of customer who are willing to pay and drink tea that they don't have to be service friendly. I definitely will not be going back there and will let my friends know of such bad service. There are other nicer tea house in Singapore with better tea and charge less.

Im American but have always been fascinated by the tea ceremony. I loved the aesthetic and hospitality I experienced at tea chapter! It’s well worth every dollar if you are passionate about tea, or experiencing flavor intensely in general. I would recommend to any foreign visitor!

We were lucky to be able to sit at the table that the late Queen Elizabeth sat at when she visited.
The experience started with a demo from the staff on how to brew the tea and taste the tea.
Ordered Imperial Golden Cassia tea (which was the tea that was served to the late Queen according to the staff) and the Ba Nuo Pu'er tea. Highly reccomend to try the Imperial Golden Cassia tea, the tea has a strong creamy floral aroma.
As for food, we ordered the vegetarian long jing mee sua, cookies, tea eggs and dragon mochi. I'm not one to appreciate vegetarian food but boy was I blown away by the mee sua. The soup had a very clean, light yet sweet vegetable taste. Tea eggs were unexpectedly perfectly cooked. The yolk wasn't dry and the whites were not rubbery! Be sure to try the mochi warm as it was soft and pillowly and not sweet. Cookies were interesting if you enjoy tea as it was all a different experience.
Overall, really glad I've came!

This tea tasting was an interesting and exquisite experience that my family will remember. This was a informative and detailed session, on how to make and enjoy the tea. Even as a 12 year old tween I love this event. I have learnt the way of making good tea. I would definitely recommend this to anyone even if you dislike tea because it will change your mind. 🍵👍🏻✌️

Fantastic experience. Was great to relax and escape from my hectic lifestyle for an hour. Was taught the basics by the tea master on how to properly brew tea. She also gave a thorough explanation for the tea selection they had. Little expensive to come here solo, would be great for couples or 3-4 people. Will be back for sure!

I first discovered tea chapter in my twenties as a young woman. It was an oasis of quiet and calm in the middle of a bustling metropolis. It was my privilege to be able to share the delights of wonderful tea, beautiful rooms and a reflective space for conversation with my daughter 25 years after I first discovered it. A truly remarkable place for meaningful family conversations! The tea is astounding too!

We sampled 7g of the Imperial Golden Cassia, which comes about to 5 steeps. The staff member at Tea Chapter carefully explained all the tools and walked us through how to appreciate the fragrance of the tea and how to hold the teacup. There are several tea room options, one with sunken seated area and a Japanese style one. Their menu also includes very cute food menu options.

We had booked the tea appreciation workshop - Shades of Tea where we learned about the history of tea, 6 different types of tea and there were tea snacks served at the end of the class. The class size is also kept small and feel very personalized. The tea master, Mr Tay was very knowlegable, patient and detailed in conducting the workshop. He showed us the proper etiquette and procedure in serving Chinese Tea. Our answers were answered thoroughly by him. At the end of the workshop we were able to practice and drink the tea that was served earlier. The gift was a nice touch and token to bring home too. Ambient wise is also excellent similar to a traditional tea house. Fully recommended workshop to go to if you are a tea lover!

Has anyone gone just for tea and snacks or does everyone do the appreciation course. It’s too expensive for us but I still enjoy tea and would like to soak up the vibes
