Affectionately known among locals as the "durian", Esplanade is one of the busiest arts centres in the world with about 3,000 performances presented yearly. Spot our prickly cladding in the middle of the central arts and cultural district, and take in the view from the Marina bay waterfront where our Outdoor Theatre is situated. Coming to Esplanade means that you're in for a complete lifestyle experience, from enjoying a night out at a show, to shopping and dining. And whether you're a first-timer, an ardent patron or fellow arts lover, you're most welcome here and we'll do our best to give you a great experience with the arts.

We had dinner at nearby popup store and came here. It's a theater but if you go to the roof, you can enjoy the bay view for free. It's not high as lookout towers, but still nice to see from above.

Walking along Marina Bay (especially from Merlion Park to Helix Bridge), you cannot help but notice two rather odd looking structures that resemble giant bugs. Perhaps for Filipinos, they look more like the local durian fruit! At any rate, they are two of the distinctive...More

The big question is and remains whether this building is a durian or microphone. Anyway it is a must visit since it is iconic and a good spot to look at the city and marina bay sands. There are live bands playing in the evening...More

People say Singapore is expensive, but here you can come and try free music. There is something on every day in the concourse and at weekends in the outside arena by the bay.

Esplanade is a signature of Singapore from its building outlook that looked like a durian from the outside. It is easily accessible from MRT and most of the people went there for its restaurant and musical concert. There is a stage both inside and outside...More

I was blown away by the quality of this place. The architecture alone should not be missed, but then add the fact that 70% of concerts are free. We watched a music concert while we were there - casually relaxed and great quality sound. There...More

Marina Bay
More of a mini city than a neighbourhood in the
traditional sense, the iconic Marina Bay aims to
dazzle and entertain visitors of all kinds. This is
the Singapore found in glossy brochures, featuring a

Hi there! Yes, if the seats are not labelled (restricted view), you should have a clear view of the stage from Circle 1 all the way up to Circle 3. Hope this helps, thanks!
