An experience for all five senses. Start at the Tekka Centre, a traditional wet market and food court where fresh meat, seafood, vegetables, fruits and dry goods are sold. Cruise down Serangoon Road to find more groceries, restaurants, teahouses, tailors and Mustafa Centre, a massive department store selling anything and everything. Visit during Deepavali, the Hindu festival of light, held in October or November.

A typical Indian style market area full of activities that you usually found in any regular day in India. Now that's astonishing and in the mean time feels proud of our diversity. One should visit little India for street shopping in Indian style. Many top...More

I wasnt too fond of the place even though I'm an Indian. Not very well maintained and not very clean. Feels like home as you see so many fellow Indians

Streets were full of stern faced men, just sitting on the street looking dour. Fruit and flower vendors were rude. I went to buy but I think that if you'd like my money the least you can do is be polite. Decided to spend in...More

Little India
With a strong local Indian community, this pocket of
Singapore can feel like another place and time. Wander
past traditional barbershops while local residents in
brightly coloured saris patronize retailers from
decades past. Peruse streets lined with colourful
shops as the aroma of curry tempts you to indulge.
Listen to the Bollywood music echoing from storefronts
and take in the stalls selling bright flowers,
