We try to visit synagogues where ever we travel and Singapore was no exception. We found the website and emailed 2 weeks before we were getting to Singapore. We got an immediate response back asking for a copy of our passport and a date and time of the visit. The synagogue is a lovely old building. We were able to... More

What a beautiful synagogue! we were lucky to celebrate Shabbat with a nice community. We loved the prayer that was Moroccan style rabbi Abirgil was great. You need to go before Shabbat so they can take a copy of your passport otherwise you can't get in. since we keep Shabbat we left our stuff at the hotel but they recognized... More

From the beginning this place has been well, exclusive for the Jews. In order for non-Jews to access to the synagogue, you need prior appointment. So a week before my trip to Singapore, I emailed the administration seeking an appointment. Like the previous commentator, I got a response from Julia Han of the Jewish Welfare Board saying "We welcome you... More

Access to the synagogue is restricted to the public for obvious security reasons and their website suggested that a prior appointment is necessary to plan a visit. A few days before my trip, I emailed the administration seeking an appointment. I got a response from Julia Han of the Jewish Welfare Board saying "We welcome you and all visitors to... More

The synagogue is only open to visitors from Monday through to Thursday. PRs and citizens can enter by just showing their ICs, whilst foreigners need to arrange for permission to enter by getting their passport details validated a few days in advance. The synagogue is of a fairly simple design inside, and presumably is a lot more meaningful if you... More

Be sure to make an appointment at this high security complex but worth a visit to see the old synagogue as well as the museum explaining how it was built

If you are Jewish, and love praying , this is the most comfortable and beautiful Synagogue to go to. I enjoy going there on Shabbat . It's one of the best things that makes me happy . All the people there are warm and friendly . I just love praying in that Synagogue. So if you are a Jewish tourist,... More

This place was in the Trip advisor as one of the place to visit. But when I went there, the guard at the entrance told me that only Jewish people are allowed. So, even if you are a Catholic or Christian you cannot enter. Please take note of this.
