This is the best alternative to the expensive Sands' Skypark Observation Deck. Here at ION Sky, you get to see Singapore's Skyline for free plus you can avail of exclusive perks now that ION is celebrating its 8th Years. So many great restaurants and shops to choose from. Never miss this when in Singapore. I am sure you'll love the... More

This is an excellent place to visit. Access is free. There is dedicated express lift to reach this floor. All the important places of the city can be seen. Plenty of free of charge digital binoculars are available. In a clear day, you can see Islands of Malaysia and Indonesia. A very clean toilet is also available .

The city can get tiring with building blocks left and right; the ION Sky actually provides a different view of those buildings from the 56th floor. See Singapore in a different way and don't miss the free admission hours daily.

The friendly concierge directed me to the queue for the ION sky. The queue was not very long and in 10 minutes I was atop at the ION SKY. IT usually rains in the afternoon in Singapore and often the sky is cloudy. You may not get clear view. But who is complaining, since it is free!!!!.

Felt very elite when we had came up, because of all the guys doing the security thing. After dining at Salt Grill we went to check this place out and it was nice seeing Singapore in a totally different view!

There's not much to complain about when something is awesome as this is offered completely free. Watch out for long queues on weekends. At the top, selfies/photos are quite difficult due to the height, and the light coming from behind the subject, so just enjoy the experience instead. There are a whole bunch of art galleries on the same floor... More

When we visited the normal viewing hours were 3pm - 6pm but best get there at 3pm. As the time approaches 6pm you may be advised that the attraction is closed. The only advantage of the MBS SkyPark is the absence of glass but you won't get the Ion's 360 degree views. They also have free telescopes interfaced with monitors,... More

Typical Orchard Street shopping centre except that you can visit the viewing deck free of charge on the 55th floor every day between 3-6 pm. Worth the queue

On top of the Ion shopping mall the sky deck offers view that rivals the ones from Marina Bay Sands - but this is free! But come on a weekday as queue on holidays can be massive.

Staying in Orchard Road

Neighbourhood Profile
Orchard Road
Shopping is a national pastime for Singaporeans, and after a visit to Orchard Road it’s easy to see why. This seemingly endless boulevard boasts a dizzying selection of shopping centres. From bargain basement foragers to designer label big-spenders, there is something for everyone. For those just browsing, there are countless restaurants, food courts, and cinemas, as well as the odd street entertainer to keep you amused. Most of the malls are connected by underground walkways, offering a break from the sun on a hot day. Bring a credit card and some comfortable shoes, and plunge into the excitement.
