I stayed in Burgis and the temple was located very near my hostel so I set a plan to visit it. I've heard that it was one of the most beautiful Hindu temples in Singapore and the information was so right. Although it was an old temple, it looked so colorful and so new. Outside it was very beautiful because of its unique design. It was like a hidden gem hiding in Waterloo street. It was the only Hindu temple where I could get in, pray and take a look closer inside. The temple was totally quiet and peaceful

Only a short stroll from our hotel and yet not discovered by us until the last day of our Singapore short break. Its a very ornate Hindu Temple dating to 1870 and the only South Indian temple in the city dedicated to Krishna and his consort, Rukmini. Very busy when we visited and both Indian and Chinese worshippers there. I learnt later that there is an altar dedicated to Guan Yin, the Chinese Goddess of Mercy in the temple complex.

Walking along Waterloo Street, I passed many different churches, temples and synagogues. It must have been one of the highest concentrations in Singapore so i understood why it was nicknamed Church Street.
The design or appearances of those other places of worship were quite standard until I walked by Sri Krishnan. Outside was filled with people wandering through an outdoor market but the bright colors and intricate statues drew me inside. I remembered to remove my shoes before entering and had the entire temple practically to myself as I walked around. Just like the outside the inside was similarly ornate and enjoyable to view.

Sri Krishnan Temple is Located in Waterloo Street Singapore (Bugis). Main God is Sri Krishnan and Rukumani Devi. Everyone walking thru Waterloo Street will be Stunned while seeing the Colorful Architecture works made in Krishnan Temple. After you enter into the Temple you feel Good and Peaceful, All Gods in the Temples are Very Colorful and Beautiful. As a Hindu I feel proud to see Lot of Chines Devotees doing their prayers everyday both inside the temple and outside the temple. Lot of Tourists also visiting the Temple every day. If you are in Singapore you must Visit Sri Krishnan Temple, You feel good and peace and you will also get Lord Krishna's blessing.

We had missed this temple dedicated to Krishna which is at Bras bah area on the waterloo street. Unfortunately we couldn't get darshan of the gods as it was closed but looked very nice.

Located at Waterloo street, Sri Krishnan temple is unique in a way in which it was built. This temple differs from other temples in Singapore as the stones were taken from divine places in Nepal and represents the divine magnanimity!. For Krishna devotees , this place is an absolute treat! P.S. I’ve noticed this temple is just 3 mins walk from Little India MRT ( towards REX cinemas).

This is a small but attractive temple in Bugis which gets very busy on weekends. Worth the effort to go inside to get a closer look at some of the statues. Shoes must be left outside.

See nothing much from the outside, except constant flow of people stopping in front of main entrance to pray and lighting joss-sticks. Must enter (without footwear) to view the perimeter walls, lined with artistically beautiful sculptures of Krishna and his consort Rukmi, and others. Don't forget to take photos (but not in the centre main alter). Interesting to observe with respect on devotees doing their prayers.
