This was my 2nd time with Roqxana at cookery magic. She recognised me after three years! Great fun morning as usual with this very interesting and knowledgable lady. We made fish curry, dahl and a Singaporean bread called roti pratha. Roqxana is something of an expert on herbs and spices, some of which she grows in her own garden. When... More

We were given a cookery lesson for a gift and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Ruqxana and her assistant had some of the ingredients prepared but we had to cut, slice and pound as well as stir, to make the delicious meal that we later ate. Ruqxana is very friendly with a sense of humour while at the same time teaching... More

I had 12 hrs in Singapore in transit. This was an absolutely delightful way to spend a few hours before heading off on the next jet. Close to the airport (and to the centre of town in the other direction). Very easy access in a lovely hilly suburb. Chef and her colleague were absolutely delightful and accommodating. They allowed mistakes... More

My family and I spent the day making delicious Malayan dishes with Roqxana. Roqxana was really friendly and we couldnt believe we had made such interesting dishes - we learnt loads and will be trying all the dishes back home (in slightly colder weather!) Would recommend to anyone who loves cooking, for a unique cooking experience (we also enjoyed meeting... More

A really fun trip starting with an expedition to Changi and then a boat trip to Ubin. The cooking excusion was in Kampong Durian at a wonderful heritage wooden kampong house, a rare sight in Singapore now. Really interesting to hear from the family of the house how they've lived there for 4 generations, after which they took us for... More

My colleagues and I did the cooking class with Ruqxana and it was fabulous. We actually did it on Pulau Ubin (one of Singapore's small and still just barely inhabited islands that is a 10 minute boat ride from Changi point) in a traditional Malay kampong home. In addition to learning about the food and some great cooking techniques (let... More

I wanted to explore experience more local than just looking around the city. It was a good idea to participate the class. Learn local herbs, cooking logics, have nice chat with class mates.

What a magical way to begin our trip in Singapore! A friend and I took the class and we are both rather avid cooks who take a fair number of cooking classes around the world. This one was exceptional by all standards. Ruqxana is a true professional but beyond that - she knows and loves food, and is a knowledgable,... More

My wife and I had this cooking class arranged by Anna Ong as part of a private tour of Singapore. We took a taxi from our hotel and were met with a glass of cool water. Ruqxana is a superb cook, great teacher and fascinating conversationinalist. She has a number of very different cats which provided entertainment. If you like... More
