The Island is Great BUT, but all means, SKIP THE FLOATING RESTAURANTS

We had a great time at Olango's Marine Sanctuary. You will see various schools of fish in different colors, big and small. If you love snorkelling, this place is a bit of heaven... read more

We had a great time at Olango's Marine Sanctuary. You will see various schools of fish in different colors, big and small. If you love snorkelling, this place is a bit of heaven for you. However, let this be a warning to other travellers. DO NOT BE ENTICED WITH THEIR "FLOATING" RESTAURANTS. These are just bait foe tourists and locals... More

This place is really a waste of time and money. The area and the islands are indeed incredible, but this place is really not worth visiting, just stick to the other islands. There is a very small area where you are allowed to snorkel, which is quite crowded. There are some fish to see, but it really isn't anything special,... More

Olango is great for a morning visit. Given the sometimes high temperatures, aim for the morning and preferably on a cloudy day. Bring sun protection (we got tanned even on a cloudy day to SPF 50) and water. There's not much food to buy in the sanctuary. The employees / guides are very friendly and helpful. We took the ferry... More

Great day trip from Cebu for snorkeling. However, don't get ripped off by the island hopping 'tours' that charge 3,000 to 6,000 pesos. The Ferry Ride is 12 peso from Angasil Port, or 15 peso from Hilton Port. The tricycle ride from the Santa Rosa Port to the San Vincent Marine Sanctuary was 60 pesos each way. The San Vincent... We enjoyed our trip to Olango island. After visiting once, we keep going back! Resorts are affordable for a "day-user". You can go biking around the island. My suggestion, go to Bird Sanctuary during high tide to get a photo like this 👇

Olango Island was a half day tour starting at 7 am I came back to hotel by 13:00 pm. In Olango we experienced regular village life, visited the bird sanctuary. You can avail snorkelling in the shallow clear water around the shore.

T'was good. The place is deserted and I really like wandering the island. But sadly when we went there it was low tide and their bird sanctuary was very dry. Anyways, I still love that trip because the view rejuvenate me.

We went there with some friends around May. Unfortunately, there were just less than 10 birds around because its off season. Migratory birds often come from September to March. Well, charged to experience...Will be there next time!

This is waste of time. Villages on the island looks like they just survived war, everything is destroyed. Homes in such condition that you can collapse most of them with the kick of your leg. Fish sanctuary is terribly dirty, boring and have absolutely no interest for tourist. It's paid but even if it was free, it would not worth... More
