Beautiful Helicopter Island!

Excellent beach to relax, picnic or just snorkeling if the sea is calm or if it is not too crowded with boats.

This island is 20 minutes out from El Nido and frequenly the first stop on Tour A. The beach is inpressive and long and has some good coral around the cliffs of the 'helicopter tail' on the western end.

Dilumacad Island is a 20-minute ride from El Nido town. It's also known as "Helicopter Island" due to its helicopter-like shape when viewed from afar. The island is home to a long, dazzling white sand beach that beckons to picnickers and snorkelers.

This island looks like the shape of a helicopter, thus the island is also known as 'helicopter island'. We landed on a long and white sand beach and the sand was very fine. We went snorkeling in the area in front of the left side of the beach. The water was very clear with a little bit of current, but... More

Stopped there during tour c and enjoyed the exceptional site.. Beach is large and with very fine sand. There is a diving and snorkeling area further down the 300m beach stretch. Informative panels tell about the widlife on the island

This was my first stop for my island hopping tour of combination A & C. When we went, it was still very early so it was secluded and we had the whole island to ourselves. It is beautiful and breathtaking! The water was clear and the view is to die for. They recommended to do snorkeling here, which I did... More

This was our first stop on tour C. The beach itself was crowded with boats when we arrived so it was hard to appreciate. Our guides said this was the best snorkeling spot in El Nido but I disagree. It wasn't bad but I saw better coral and more fish at several other places.

One of the best beaches - cuz of sand! Sand is so soft and small granules that we didn't see anywhere in El Nido sand like that one on Helicopter island! That soft sand would make u fall in love with the island and remember it for long!

This was the last stop on on of our tours in El Nido. It is named Helicopter Island because the shape of the island resembles a helicopter. This is a good place to relax and snorkel with it's wide area surrounded by different kinds of marine and corals. With the white sand and crystal clear waters, you'd really enjoy swimming... More
