My family and I did a combination scuba and snorkeling trip. It was pretty wavy when we got there and the current became strong so the snorkelers were unable to go. The dive was interesting and say some amazing sea life however the visibility could have been better.

It was such a grandeur cave , truly magnificent . It is one of the highlights in package tour B of the island hopping packages. Your banca will just go near the cave and you can take a photo of it but some they explore and go inside the cave to swim.

This amazing cave can be visited in a boat only. You can hire local boat in El-Nido or around. The place is called "Cathedral" apparently because of a natural copula. The cave is well lit through opening in the ceiling so that you will not need a torch. And this is good since the place is not preserved by local authorities so that it is up to you to keep it clean. I would suggest, if possible, turn off the engine when entering and uses paddles if possible.

I thought this was pretty ordinary. We stopped outside for about 5 minutes. It is dark inside so not much to see. You cannot swim inside because of sea snakes. I was happy when we moved on.

At a point you have to decide (or someone from the boat will) whether you want to enjoy longer in the places you will visit before or you want to get here with low tide. If high tide the boat cannot get inside.

I think if this is included in a tour, then go for it. But I wouldn't waste time to go and see just this cave. You can not go in by boat, only stay outside. It is of course cool to see the cave, but not much more...

Big boats can not get through this cave. It looks spectacular but swimming in it is prohibited due to strong current and sightings of sea snakes. Our boat moored at the cave's mouth for a brief while and the only thing tourists can do is to snap photos while killing time on the boat.

The cathedral caves are shallow caves which are shaped like cathedral spires. Good for picture taking but not much else.

Mark, from the El Nido Resort, escorted my family into the caves. Extremely dark, scary at first but so cool. Would recommend to wear water shoes not sandals.
