So proud of our province! Yes, I am an Ifugao. This is the most famous site but there are a lot more (much, much nicer rice terraces) also, if you have the time, you can visit the Yamashita Shrine in Kiangan.

Breathtaking . You stare in wonder as to how the Ifugao people were able to create such an amazing rice terrace.

Title really says it. If you're going to the Philippines and you have the time (it's a 9 hour bus North of manila, no to beaches) this is my abosulte #1 recommendation. Its worth the trek from Banaue. Its pretty cool to go to a place so isolated that it's an hour drive from the nearest town and can only... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to the rice terraces in Batad, and were very much impressed by their overwhelming size. It is a great experience hiking through the terraces and visiting the small village in the middle. We are a family with 3 kids, and were very grateful to have Ruben as our local guide. He knows the place inside... More

All thought the hike to the terraces involved walking through a mudslide which was ankle-deep this was totally worth it, the views in every direction were sensational and we managed to watch our shoes and legs off in one of the many streams. So worth the small walk

We spent a day in the rice terrace s of Batad. Although the place is unfortunately becoming littered (through tourism?) it is still very much worth to visit the terrace s and waterfalls (bring your swimming gear and gopro for some spectacular shots).

Batad Rice Terraces is like an overview of sights in Banaue, the expansive rice terraces, the hiking terrain, the small huts offering food and drinks. It's about a 20-30 minute hike to the community center, and another 1-2 hour hike to Tappiya Falls. Just seeing Batad Terraces fills up the quota of what to see in Banaue. The stick that... More
