There are 4 halls, and each hall are filled with the paintings from the beginning of Affandi's professionalism. Affandi's paintings displayed are those which are not to be sold, starting from the paintings using pencils, paint brush, then his fingers. Local guide are available. Other halls fulfilled with Affandi's daughters's paintings and Affandi's grandson's paintings. Some are for sale.

This place has plenty of paintings to look at. You can check out Affandi paintings along with some of his family members paintings too. Nice indoor museum with good facility. Plus you will get a free ice cream/soft drink as a compliment by the end of the visit which is not bad at all.

This museum displays works of Affandi, one of Indonesian profound painters. The paintings displayed here is said to be ones that dear to the artist (and that is why they are kept in the gallery), due to the story behind each painting. The guide did an excellent job in explaining the history of those painting and in some extent, the... More

This was my second visit to Affandi museum. The first one was in May 2014. This time we were fortunate enough to met Ibu Kartika's (Mr. Affandi's daughter) son in law who happily explained and told us his memories / stories of Mr. Affandi. This time around, the second gallery was closed because it's being used as a place to... More

This is a museum showcasing one of Indonesia's most celebrated artist. On display are an extensive collection of his paintings, including self portraits and personal items. He lived and breathed art and these are portrayed through his work. There are three galleries and the last one displays works of his wife and daughter. The ticket price include a free drink.... Though an art lover, I knew nothing about Affandi before visiting this museum. A great exhibition in the spaces that he designed and lived, you certainly got a sense of the man and his art. A modernist with works spanning four decades we could see the evolution of his arts and as with many other great artists the return to... More

Visited the Affandi Museum with my Wife and were fascinated by the work of the late and most likely to date greatest Indonesian Artist. The expressionist style of his late paintings is also reflected in the museum's architecture. Highly recommended for art lovers.
