Little Lumbung
Sep 2019 • Couples
A nice little temple situated in the Prambanan complex. A short stroll from the main temple will find you at Candi Lumbung.

Well worth a look, after all its free and your a lready there. Not nearly as impressive as Prambanan, however, it is nice and you should go anyway. Chances are, you won't be back.

Enjoy.

Unfairly positioned between two marvels
Sep 2017 • Couples
This isnt a bad place and anyway you dont need a special journey. It is sandwhiched between your Sewu and Prambanan visits so you cant miss it anyway.

Mar 2017
The temple is still under maintenance after the earthquake in 2006. This temple is considerably damaged and collapsed.

Buddhist temple
Nov 2016 • Family
This is a Buddhist temple built during the 9th century. It is located within the Prambanan Temple complex. Candi Lumbung means rice barn temple in Javanese. It bears similarities with Sewu Temple but is smaller in size. It is currently in the process of restoration. Worth a stop if visiting Prambanan.

Small Temple complex.
Mar 2016 • Solo
This site is located within the complex of Prambanan and known by the local as rice barn temple maybe due to its function as a place to collect the rice from nearby paddy field. Renovation is going on and not much thing to do here. Take some picture and move to Sewu temple.

Buddhist Temple has same like Javanese paddy food bank
Mar 2015 • Family
The temple has architecture same as Javanese paddy food bank which you could not find in central Java anymore. The temple take many decade to restore I think not many original stone left and not easy to reconstruct as original temple due to still many stone spread out everywhere. The construction need 4D simulation to get original building and need a lot of money and expertise.

The location is located in between prambanan temple and sewu buddhist temple. not many Buddhist statue left and most of statue without head.

Ongoing restorarion work
Feb 2015 • Solo
This temple is currently undergoing some major restoration work and so at present there isn't too much to see. A brief stop is all that's required as you walk from the Shiva temple up to the Sewu temple within the Prambanan complex. Access is included in your entrance ticket to the Prambanan complex.

Slow detailed restoration works in progress!
Dec 2013 • Couples
Candi Lumbung is situated between the Prambanan Temple & Sewu Temple.

I was impress to see the skillful workers working with the supervision on the archaeological department restoring parts of the temples;

Hopefully one day we would get to see the glory of this temple!
