    Best place
Become better after revitalisation. Cleaner pedestrian, still the best place to get to know about Indonesian cultures & sciences in a fun way. Suggest you guys to use sunscreen, hat and comfortable shoes.

So much potential, but not taking advantage of what's been built
The buildings are really beautiful, but maybe 10% were open on a Sunday. Saw some great kids dance competitions (incredible costumes), and a few museums, but almost all buildings are locked up, and no signs other than the name of the region. Of course it's hot, but with only electric vehicles it was relaxing to walk around without the constant noise of cars. The cable car (extra cost) was fun and a great way to see things from the air; the shuttle bus (free) also gave an overview. Unfortunately the narration is only in Bahasa, so not great for foreign tourists. And the museum signs are almost all in Bahasa only. It was interesting to see several new buildings under construction. What they need is to invest in more people to explain what they have. This could be a great place for both locals and tourists, but it seems to be falling short of its potential.

    Always worth a visit
I had been a regular visitor to Tamin Mini between 2009 until 2019 on my annual visits to Indonesia but Covid and the restoration meant I had missed the last few years. I totally loved this place being somewhere you can spend a day without playing any of the additional fees to go in the specific museums even though the charge is not high it can add up. The individual themed museums are mostly good but some exibits in the technical ones are not what I would call up to standard especially the steam locomotives rotting away in the transport museum. One aspect that could be improved is the cable car rides on which yo get on and off at the same place after doing a lap of each circuit, the cable car stations are not adjacent so if you want to go on more than one walking is involved. Room for improvement as there has always been. There used to be a railway around Tamin Mini which does not now seem to be running and staff I asked seemed not to know if it will again but they are now employed by the government so I would not expect them to know anything. To rent the golf cart was 800,000 IDR for 2 hours £41 ($51 US) but it was not clear if this was the self drive or with a driver as the man in charge was away and a junior was in charge. But there are free electric shuttle busses now the area has gone green (ignore ppl burning rubbish which you can see from cable car) and walking always an option. You need to get here early especially if you intend to use the shuttle busses, not so bad weekdays but this still is a popular place. Another reason to go early is the proximity of Indonesia to the equator, yesterday Jan 16th it was 35C in the afternoon. The most amusing thing is that you can book online however the cost is exactly the same plus an additional booking fee. I am sure some of the minor glitches will be sorted I do not need to post pictures because they will be no different to the many posted.

So much improvements had been made
I was so glad that this huge complex got renovated after unmaintained for so long. The landscape, some museums and traditional houses were already refreshed and updated but some were still need improvement. The Bird Park and the Komodo Museum had been renovated into awesome attractions. I do hope that they will renovate the Indonesia Science Center (PP-IPTEK), Transportation Museum as well as other museums too in the near future. The toilets are now easy to find, scattered in all buildings even in the parking lot and they are all clean. Oh, don't forget to prepare your seat before 6pm in the Plaza Promenade to watch the dancing fountain Tirta Cerita that will tell you Indonesia famous folklores.

Relatively large park but with extremely limited food or refreshment facilities. Various themes of the buildings. Was almost empty on Sunday.

The most complete tourist spot in Jakarta. Starting from sports, science, history, education, flora and fauna, entertainment, and culture. Love that place✨

Visiting Taman Mini Indonesia Indah was an exhilarating experience that immersed me in the rich tapestry of Indonesian culture and heritage. From exploring intricately designed traditional houses from various regions to witnessing captivating dance performances, the park offered a vivid snapshot of Indonesia's diversity.

Went to TMII a couple days ago. I was so shookkk! It was one of the best (and a must) visit place so far in Jakarta. You get to see various traditional houses, museums (try Museum Indonesia), Taman Burung, and finally the dancing fountain called Tirta Cerita at night. It was soooo cool when 300 drones flying above the fountain and transformed into different shapes. Def a pleasing treat for your eyes! Good job TMII.

Ps: I heard they also have somekind of workshops. Prolly can ask the schedule through their Instagram DM.

We visited the miniature park to learn more about the Indonesian regions.
A tour guide at the information office offered us a tour and it was super helpful. You need a tour guide to explain the structure of each home and where it belongs. He spoke good english.
I am only giving 3 stars becuase alot of attractions including the museum were closed for renovation and supposedly they are opening thesecond week of August. In order to get out, you need to take a bus by the information desk to get you to the gate where you can get transportation.
