this museum is one of my fav in Jakarta because they have many collection. they tell about begining of Indonesia and the cultures of regional in Indonesia. you must visit here, the location is near Monas.

It's a compact museum but with lots of interesting artifacts. The old wing is under reconstruction but still lots of interesting things to see in the new wing. The treasure room is amazing.

We/I brought so many guests here and everybody said very complete and represent all of Indonesian tribes, traditions, cultures. And also many old statues to show us how wonderful Indonesia with his great Hindu's religion! and many others... Love it

From the Airport you can go directly to the the museum and the you can put your bag in the locker of the museum, there is a man in the next step of the ticket counter to put your bag. Must be count the time from the airport... More

Yes the museum is kids friendly in terms of free spaces but if you mean "kids friendly" in terms of activity I think not. But the museum is really big and you can enjoy it.
