This is a great museum. But the location is not very strategic even though you can access it through commuter line by walking distance. However they don't have lots of collection, and they will need to increase the maintenance in terms of cleaning.

It's an interesting place to visit to know about the history of state-owned bank in Jakarta, Museum Mandiri. The building stands on a 10,039 m2 land, Museum Mandiri is an economic museum located in the old banking district of Jakarta Old Town in North Jakarta. The museum Bank Mandiri is housed int he former HQ of the Netherlands Trading society, primary ancestor of ABN AMRO.
There is a deep history from back 1595 that you could see the history of trading started from during the colonial time in Indonesia. What I like the most is the beautiful art deco style and the history.
This is one of the place that you could bring your kids to learn about one of an Indonesian history and walk around the building.

Museum Bank Mandiri is one of thematic museum dedicated to depict financial development in Indonesia. The museum has diorama describing banking activity and the division of roles among races during colonial era.

The most notorious aspect of this building, in my opinion, has to go to the mozaic window at the front of this museum facade. It gives the vibe of classical building in ancient Europe.

Entrance fee to this museum is free for Mandiri Bank clients (you need to show your Mandiri Bank debit or credit card as proof to the officer at museum entrance).

Not as good as the neighboring Bank Indonesia Museum, but complements it if you have time and have an interest in this field.

The banking hall is one of Indonesia’s oldest banks, and remarkably preserved. Exhibits include artefacts of banking. Worth a quick visit if you are a fan of Art Deco.

Joining #WisataKotaTua by donation, next visit is Museum Mandiri. The museum represents the history of banking from colonial to nowadays, quite same as Museum Bank Indonesia which is preferred for visit.
You can see anythings related to bank, from its equipment, ATM, typewriters, computers, stamps, "Buku Besar", etc.

Sitting right next to the Banking Museum, the Mandiri also exhibits the story of money and banking, but more focused on Indonesia. The building is vast, but the exhibits are quite comically awful. It is worth coming just to see how lame a museum can be. Despite the paucity of what's here, the price is double the entrance fee of next door's better Banking Museum, but it's all relative. The cost is IR10,000 which is about US$0.70. Peanuts. Check out the downstairs vaults, which have endless rows of safes, whereas the main floor has loads of 70s and 80s typewriters and computer keyboards in glass cabinets. It's too comical for words. It's the building you come for and the stained glass on the main staircase is indeed worth the entrance fee alone.
