I love this old part of Jakarta. kinda brings me back in time when we were colonized by the dutch. recommended for those who likes to take photos. it's absolutely instagrammable.
Not may things can be seen in this area. Old building with no many collection. Many beggar & bum. Absolutely not secure area for tourist.
Overall it's a good experience. Went there to try to ride the bike, but apparently at night the square was pretty crowded so it's kinda hard to move around with bicycle. But there were so many attractions (live music, photobooth, etc) and restaurants around.
Somewhat lacking of great impression. Announcement made should also be in English, hence our foreign visitor will understand. Too many beggars with disturbing noise of instrument and song.
