Getting there early at around 7am, the zoo still quite empty and enjoyable. If you go through the gate facing Jalan margasatwa, you can park quite close to the elephants cage and some other animal cages. The zoo set on quite huge area, but most...More

My son was the one who had the idea of going as the zoo was boasted to be the biggest primate center in the south east Asia. The Schmutzer Primate Center is known for collection of primates set in their original habitats. We did see...More

Bad maintenance at all! The rest ia room is bad. The mushola is bad. The cafetaria is also bad! Stinky and not well organized. So hard to see the animal. Maybe because the ticket was too cheap.

thanks for the review, we try our best to keep the animals in their natural habitat. And the existing cage is actually quite wide. For garbage, we have placed the trash at all points but until now there are many who throw garbage carelessly.

Go on a weekday, don't ever think to visit Ragunan on a weekend/ public holiday! Unless you love super packed jammed zoo/ parking area/ long Q line/ bad traffic/ garbage scattered everywhere. Cheap parking/ ticket. The Schmutzer (primate section) is the best part in this...More

It is 3rd largest zoo in the world as Wikipedia. And it is over 150 acres. I notice that we can download ragunan zoo application from Playstore as old reviews. So we're more confortable to explore. Shuttle buses and buildings are old. So entrance fee...More

This should really rank higher on the list of attractions in Jakarta. I go regularly to Ragunan to run but enjoy the animals. It isn't the greatest zoo but best place to run or walk in Jakarta. AND there are some special exhibits. Although they...More
