Its very crowded, but its nice.. its beautiful at night. A boat ride would be nice for travelling around this old city. I just love the historical value here.

We walked the around both during the day and during the evening. I agree with others that the evening is best. It's surprising (at least to me) that there are not that many places to eat canal side. The restaurant across from the boat ticket...More

Personally, I'm a Laozi kind of guy. Yet the history and architecture here is a very welcome sight. It's what you'd expect to see in China instead of these dull apartment complexes copied and pasted everywhere. There are ceremonies done here but for some cold...More

It was drizzling the night we were here which took some of the shine off but all of the lights and sounds were good. It's really just alot of shops and places to eat but the lit up dragon was a great thing to see.

Nothing artisanal in this street all items are from the same factory. Food is bellow average. Some many people makes your quiet walk turn to jungle expedition. That feeling passed nice and beautiful street open late with a lot of thing to visit.

Visited at night time, best time to go considering the beautiful lights reflecting upon the waters. Plenty of stalls upon the streets for you to look at and bask upon!!

A bit touristy, went for a 50 min boat ride which could have been about 20 min shorter. But interesting. There was a constant Chinese commentary! Confucius temple was interesting.
