This mountain's name pretty much translates to Purple Mountain. It's very beautiful once you get past the KFC located at the top of the mountain.

if you don't have time and the heat is killing you...Use the cable car and enjoy the views on the top. You can also have a short walk there and discover a couple of nice corners

To be honest, the chair lift is the best part. For rmb60, you get a long distance return ride above pristine forest with great views over nanjing. I didnt time the duration but it feels like 20-30min one way. The observatory is at the mid-station....More

it was a Special experience for me which i ve never forget.. flying grom the beautiful forests, from teh beautiful lakes for more than one hour, have a perfect view from the mountain... very nice experience
