Engineering feat

Impressive old Bridge. Facilities are non existent and there is one elevator that brings you up to level 5. But what a view from the top. Worth a visit.

Very long bridge built over the Yangzi river. You can imagine to see kilometres after kilometres of the river extending into the East China Sea, such a grandiose view for everything. Climbing the bridge is not too hard, but if you're in for a challenge, go back and forth 2 laps, you'll get tired for going 5000m)

If you have extra time, then visit the bridge. It is an significant bridge and the pride of the nation when it was built 50 years ago for its engineering accomplishment. At the entrance is a statute of Mao Zedong. Then take the elevator to the deck for a good view of the bridge, traffic and the Yangtze River. There... More

It is difficult to reach, there is nothing special to see and the atmosphere is of a generally run down place. I regret wasting the time to come here during our very short stay in the city. Unless you can't think of anything left to do, don't waste your time.

This two-deck bridge was a Soviet project completed by Chinese constructors. Very like old Soviet bridges

This bridge is the pride of Nanjing. Specially the view of the city from this bridge is speechless. It is definitely a good experience of travelling over the bridge and enjoying the scenic beauty of the Yangtze river.

A great place to have a view of Yangtze River and the Bridge is the Viewing Tower. And the tower itself is a great place too. The Bridge is the first Yangtze Bridge we built by ourselves.

Three reasons for visiting this attraction: One - This is the longest dual function bridge of highway and railway listed in the Guinness Book of Records. Two - It was constructed and built by Chinese engineers. The Soviet architects abandoned the project when relationship between Mao's China and the Soviet Russia turned sour. It was Mao's symbol of pride to... More

If you looking for a tourist site, don't bother going to this bridge: gray, and just a huge bridge. If you like history and mythical creation, it is worthwhile: the bridge was planned by the Soviet, but when the Chinese Communists split, the Soviet engineers were called to abandon the project. The bridge was concluded under Mao by Chinese and... More

One of first big construction of the China after the end of WW II, now it is grey and sad but still a huge piece of engineering. Walk on it to have direct feeling of the witness of the river and of the number of boats transporting goods.
