The rides is really good. Yet, I was dispappointed with the online ticket purchase system! For my family convenience, I preferred to bought online ticket through handy booking. As per the confirmed booking instruction you just need to pick the ticket directly in the ticket booth. However, I was disappointed when I collected my ticket since I was instructed to follow the long queu instead of picking it up in the ticket booth. I constructively suggested the "Tram Management" that for those having purchased online ticket should have an specific lane to collect their ticket instead of queing the long lines along with those having no ticket at all (buying ticket on the spot), otherwise buying ticket online is not worth having it.

You will most likely be stuck in line for at least an hour and more on busier days so you might as well get the most out of your wait. The gallery will offer detailed information, a visual representation of the tram’s history with memorabilia and original pieces or mementos of times past. It’s also free and part of the tram experience.

This is a complementary for people who wait for the tram. You can see the history of the peak tram. It only takes 5 minutes to see this.

Located within the Peak Tram Lower Terminus is a gallery of historic items created in 2007 to enhance the experience for those planning to use this Peak Tram as a means for ascending Victoria Peak.

Here you will find themed glass sections displaying over 200 individual items relating to the early days of the Peak Tram, its historical usage and a bit about the people who have used the tram since its opening in 1888.

There are some interesting things to see, such as old tickets, historic newspaper clippings, tram design panels, other items of antiquity and general information worth reading while you wait to board and ride the Peak Tram.

The Peak Tram Historical Museum Collection can be seen after you pass through the ticket machine. It is along the right side wall as you approach the Tram and is well worth 5-10 minutes of your time.
