Impressive building which seems like its located no where special. When you arrive it's typical of a concert hall lots of space and stairs. The view towards the harbour is worth the trip, special Yum Cha located upstairs.

Been here many times in the past 40 years for yum cha. Love it still with some traditional dim sums that other places stop doing. Always a long queue but discovered that you can queue online thru the Food Gulu app. Darn!

This is the oldest City Hall of Hong Kong. Built about 50 years ago. There are two blocks, high and low. On the low block there is a concert hall, a theatre and an exhibition centre plus a Cantonese restaurant and western cafe. On the...More

If you are in Hong Kong for any length of time you will certainly become familiar with this centrally-located center and concert hall but I want to stress that it is a good way to see what is going on around town with its very...More

It was the second time I attended a performance there. 12 years ago I saw Mamma Mia and now Bizet's opera Carmen . It didn't change much during this period except for a new service yielded by a group of the electronic ticket machines ....More

We walked through to get to a restaurant and it was quite different from what I'd expected. There is plenty of open space and seems popular for photos of couples getting married - we saw two couples in a short space of time.

To most visitors of Central this rectangular modernist building built in the 60’s is just an odd background to the Cenotaph and an administrative office with no special interest. Not correct. The City Hall complex is surprisingly larger than it looks. It includes a locally...More

Hong Kong is not drab blue jackets, more bicycles than cars; well maybe about equal. Hong Kong City Hall is of an architecture that is modern to the eye. A lot of events are held at City Hall. They have a flotilla of flat bottom...More

I loved this new area of the city being created here. The architecture is stunning especially the CEOs office. The city Hall unfortunately had the People's Liberation Army separating it from the CEOs office is a bit of a statement I think. However this is...More

I was thinking this might be a building of historical significance or at least be interesting-looking, but alas, it's just another sterile, modern building.

Central
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies
with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The
area widely known as Central is the major financial
hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up
to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open
late into the night and there just happens to be a
street party every weekend. Although everything seems
to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of
