The only wetland park in hong kong. You can either bring your own binocular or use the ones in the park for birs watching. Chance of seeing migrant birds is high. Just bring a long zoom camera if you want take some nice close-up photos!

No doubt Hong Kong is a wonderful place for tourists, with so much to do, However, after a week of that frenetic pace, our trip to the Wetlands Park was a welcome change of pace. The trip to the wetlands park is relatively straight forward,...More

The best park our family has visited in HK! So much more than a leisure park. Our 6-year old son was told of the park at school. If it weren't for all his fantasized talking-up and anticipation, we probably wouldn't have made the trip. But...More

The interesting part about Hong Kong Wetland Park is that it is situated within the city. You are within the quiet nature, and at the same time see the skyscrapers in the far skyline. The park was in a moderate size. I spent an afternoon...More

The fare for this park is cheap and it is worth for it. You can see many trees, flowers and birds in the park. I could easily spend a day here with my kids. You can also teach your kids to protect the environment through...More

This is definitely off the beaten track for most tourists. While it may be tucked away in the New Territories near the border to Shenzhen, it is highly (stress HIGHLY) accessible via the MTR (requiring only a quick change onto the local Tin Shui Wai...More

Quite a distance from HK Island but well worth he journey. Best route is to take the 967 bus which is direct, otherwise you can take the MTR and change onto the light railway numbers 705 or 706.

My friend and I visited this park on a cool cloudy day and didn't see that many birds or butterflies, but it was such a serene, peaceful setting. There are signs all over the park to tell people to keep their voices down so they...More

As someone who has never done any birdwatching before, Mai Po would probably require a good deal of research and a local guide, and possibly a special permit obtained from certain gov't dept. I would not consider going... More
