My friend and I visited this park on a cool cloudy day and didn't see that many birds or butterflies, but it was such a serene, peaceful setting. There are signs all over the park to tell people to keep their voices down so they don't scare the wildlife away. That being said, the noisiest people in the park were... More

After visiting beautiful Victoria Peak we wandered across the street and discovered the wonderful Hong Kong Park. It was a lovely place to wander through forested areas and ponds. The aviary was exceptional. We had lunch at a lovely outdoor restaurant. Very impressed.

Try and visit during the week when there are less people around. Although there are many signs saying keep the noise down because of the birds, the message does not appear to be getting home. The Wetland Park is doing a stirling job providing a stopover point for migratory beds. Certainly worthy of support. If you are looking to eat... More

I had a day in Hong Kong to spare and as a keen birdwatcher I thought I would visit the Wetland Park. It's a bit of a trek to get there, but public transport will take you from the city to outside the entrance. Took me just over an hour to get there. It's a lovely park to walk around... More

The admission fee for this is cheap for it is. Loads to do and see. I could easily spend a two days here with the children. Very educational! Its a long drive however from the Central. So getting there and back was rather draining for the whole family. My kids loved the outdoors maze which was built out of hedges.... More

A remarkably developed wetland area of 60ha...a diversity of plants, landscapes , insects, butterflies, mudfish and birds. Easy to get to via MTR and light rail, and off the beaten track for western tourists. Great value cafe...a substantisl lunch for under $AUD10.

This had been on my HK list of things to do for years and I'm glad I finally made it there. Staying at Tsuen Wan made it an easy journey via MTR West Rail and Light Rail. The park is a short walk from the light rail station. I got there not long after opening time and it was very... More

Go early as soon as it opens and avoid the crowds. Unless you’re a real bird lover, there’s not a whole lot to see except if you’re lucky enough to have the tide out, then you’ll see hundreds of Mudskippers and small crabs along the Boardwalk. The bird watching houses aren’t great but ok. Whatever you do, eat a lot... More

Situated in the New Territories, this is not on your normal tourist trail, ideally suited for families and young children with plenty to see and do. The park is well organised and easy to get around although you would need a full day to see it all. Take a camera and binoculars if you have them as there will be... More
