- NUNG3210Singapore, Singapore17 contributionsGood place to visit but not JulyJuly was a very hot month in Hongkong so going to Hongkong Disneyland was quite a Challenge not just for the visitors but also for the performers. We came at 8 in the morning planning to stay until the final show in the evening but decide to return earlier because many of the performance was canceled. The line was long but its normal for an amusement park. We had fun at the rides. The food are good.Visited July 2023Travelled with familyWritten 15 October 2023
- Robert LoHong Kong, China156 contributionsA revisit of the magical place with friends on a fine weekdayWell this world class iconic theme park doesn’t need much explaining from me. Went there on the 12 October 2023 with my friends (two of them from the UK). It was a sunny Thursday without too many people. Each location had less than 30 mins queue. Another warming and nostalgic experience from my childhood. The wicked live show was a bit lengthened although generally still good. The frozen world was not available then but look forward to with kids. Advice, avoid royal banquet hall during lunch hour as most common restaurants were fully packed until after 3pm, unsurprisingly. Would still recommended for those looking for some leisure time with family and friends, ideally weekends instead of weekends due to crowds.Visited February 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 18 October 2023
- travelqueenNiUnited Kingdom439 contributionsA brilliant day out!A big fan of fhe Disney parks in Florida, Paris and Japan, but I was a bit hesitant to spend a day here after a waste of a day in Shanghai (huge queues, no queuing etiquette etc...), but I was very pleasantly surprised. Started the day off in torrential rain, but made it onto Space Mountain, Grizzly Gulch train and RC racer within the first 40 mins, and then the rain amazingly stopped! Low queues all day, for rides and food, and finished the day watching Momentous- which is brilliant! The park opens at 10.30am but we got in at 10.15am to walk down Main Street, so get there early so you can make a bee line for your favorite ride. Don't leave your shopping to the end of the day- the shops on Main St were mental as I passed through on my way out!Visited October 2023Travelled soloWritten 21 October 2023
- TravelTrips12Sydney, Australia412 contributionsOverall fantastic dayOverall I had an absolute blast that day. Plenty of things to do and I managed to do everyone I wanted (plus a couple extra runs at the rides I really enjoyed). The digital map on the app was thought through well and allowed me to see all the wait times for each attraction - extremely helpful. All the rides/experiences were categorised and logically placed in groups together at the park. Not really mentioned much here, but I can't discount the availability of strong free WiFi throughout the park. It was incredibly useful for visitors without local data on their smartphones to communicate with their friends, family, and to utilise the Hong Kong Disneyland app. The evening firework display was OK. The fireworks never really launched very high, and its obvious that Disneyland tried to compensate through water features and fancy light shows on the castle throughout the display. The main downside would be the lack of really adrenaline rushing rides. The closest we got was probably space mountain, or the grizzly bear mountain runaway mine cars which were moderate at best. However, there were plenty of age appropraite rides for young children which is the most important.Visited September 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 21 October 2023
- Effem KIbadan, Nigeria4 contributionsHong Kong DisneylandHong Kong Disneyland is a theme park located on reclaimed land in Penny's Bay, Lantau Island, Hong Kong. It is the first Disneyland in China. The park offers a variety of fun activities, rides, adventure games, drama, and attractive views. With the mountains as its backdrop, shorter lines, and hospitable Hong Kong residents, it is a great way to spend a day in Hong Kong. The Hong Kong Disneyland Resort is owned and managed by Hong Kong International Theme Parks. The park is situated on Lantau Island, Hong Kong, and can be contacted at +852 3550 3388. They had the same rides from 5 years ago but it was still fun since I was with different people. Most lines were fast but in the late afternoon the lines became extremely long so best come early. saw some Disney characters but was not able to take pictures with them since we needed a reservation, not sure how or where to do it since the staff was not able to elaborate. Fireworks show was really nice too.Visited October 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 26 October 2023

It is impossible to see the whole area within one or two days. Best is to visit those places which are dear to you and leave the rest for another time. Shows, parades, attractions, rides, concerts, interactive dealings, gifts, facilities etc etc are all spectacular and well coordinated to give you an ethereal experience.!! Beware of the steps to see Buddha. If you have heart problems then you should drive . The stairs are beautiful but can impact your heart. I suggest that you pause after every few steps.Visited October 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 2 November 2023
- Zeva2010World783 contributionsNice day out with the family.I recently visit and while this is supposed to be the happiest place on earth, it fell short due to the staff. The place itself is nice and small and they had the Christmas lights out which all looked fab. But it was let down by a majority of their cast members. They were just miserable, not friendly at all. I get that HK climate is hot and it is not all that great to be working in the humidity and heat, so the folks working outside cannot be all happy all the time, but the cast mates in the air-con shops are just as miserable. I went into one particular store, and spent a large sum of money and the cash register couldn't wait to serve the next customer and it was obvious. I wasn't being demanding or rude, just wanted to purchase my items and even this short interaction she couldn't wait to get rid of me. We went to see the Lion King show and that was fantastic, the cast members in the show were all smiles and enegetic and it can't help but bring a smile to your face. I would highly recommend it. The map is now all app-based, which I didn't know and it was never mentioned upon entry, which would of been nice if it had. But the app is useful once you know about it/download it. The food in Disneyland wasn't as expensive as I thought it would be if I am honest, but the hotel at the hotel is a different story in another review :) We were disappointed when the Mickey show was cancelled last minute after we had sat down and they sang the intro song - they just out of the blue said it was cancelled and asked us to leave....after waiting for some time as well. We were offered fast track tickets to some rides, which for us were useless as we'd already been on the Winnie the Pooh ride and the other rides included in the ticket were not suitable for all of our group. We only stayed for around 4 to 5 hours and didn't know about most of the new stuff until we left. We would probably go back if we had time and a desire in the future, but the general miserable cast mates will probably be the same. The entrance fee is very expensive for what it is though. Nearly £70 for adults.Visited November 2023Travelled with familyWritten 12 November 2023

I am a California residents so I have been in many trips to Disneyland here in California, U. S. A. However, when I came to Disneyland in Hong Kong on December 27, 2019. I was so disappointed. The rides in Hong Kong Disneyland were less half of what we have here. There’s no Pirate in the Carribean, Indiana Jones, Haunted Mansion, Alice in the Wonderland, Peter Pan, Ariel, Neemo Adventure rides just to name a few. There’s no Royal Hall for the kids to take pictures with 3-4 princesses. However, to be fair, after an hour of lining up, you would get to meet Elsa and Anna and briefly take pictures and another hour of lining up again if you like to meet Olaff. But beware! The line would be close for an hour or so each time afterward.
But what I mentioned above is nothing compared to the rude treatment that I experienced later. My main problem was due to the rude, disrespectful, unprofessional staff at Fairy Tale Forest, whom tried to shout at me in Mandarin, Cantonese and English to tell me to get in line when my 4 year old tried to move up when she shouldn’t have.
When I smiled at him politely, he proceeded to rolling his eyes, putting hands on his hip, and aggressively getting closer and almost got physical until my husband intervened because I was so speechless to this ill mannered person. He backed up because my husband took out the video camera and told him that his manner will be recorded.
I have never filed a complaint before but I had to just did this time because it was so lousy. I would never go back to Hong Kong Disneyland again!

HK is a great place for everyone and especially for the younger ones. What better place to indulge the fantasies of children than Disneyland? Disneyland is located in Lantau Island. One has to get down at the Sunny Bay MTR on the Tung Chung Line and then take the train to Disneyland Resort Station. The Park has seven themed areas for kids to enjoy.
One can also stay at the Disney Explorers Lodge or the other hotels located in the Park.
The place is charming, full of various gentle rides for young children and Disney themed parks. The must do is the Disney Parade in the evening time which lasts for about 35 minutes and will be enjoyed by kids and adults alike. Please remember that the place is extremely crowded on almost all days and especially so on weekends. It is advisable to book your tickets beforehand on the website. Also, please check the weather before you go. It can rain a lot, especially during July-August. Its better to carry your own raincoats since the shops inside sell very expensive plastic covers which appear to be like raincoats. The cost really pinches.

Great to be back at Disneyland!
Disneyland has re-opened again after closing sometime in February 2020 at the start of restrictions to prevent COVID-19 infections. Finally, they opened again about a week ago and we want yesterday, 27 June 2020. There are measures to protect visitors such as temperature checks, social distancing stickers on the floor, alcohols, etc. There is also a restriction on the number of people in the park managed by the requirement to register online prior to visiting the park.
We loved seeing Lion King again, went on rides such as the Parachute Ride, Majestic Manor ride among others. Although there are a few rides that are still to open, we enjoyed our visit and recommend others to visit it again.

Supposed to be limited bookings, due to Covid restrictions. I have never seen as many people there in all the years i have visited. The restaurants were full and people were having to eat outside on the park benches. No night parades or fireworks display for several years now.... me and the kids left early and had more fun in Sham Shui Po, walking around the toy shops and eating in a restaurant at half the price of Disney....

My friend and I went to Disneyland last year in December. Both of us felt thrilled about the decorations inside, it was full of Christmas atmosphere and romantic at night, we could see the ‘snowflakes’ flew everywhere. Although there was no any fireworks, but many fascinating shows and parades used lighting to make incredible visual effects.
Also, the staffs was nice to us, when we asked them for the stickers, they were very friendly and gave many stickers to us.
The only thing was the price of food, it was very expensive when we saw the menu. We had ordered it, the food not too bad but not worth in this expensive price.
Overall, I think it’s a good place to visit, it brought me lots of my childhood, and it’s suitable for some people who loves taking photos.

Go there by MTR is the best way, the train is pretty cute! Not very crowded when it is weekday and not very long queue, I guess I spent only 10-20 mins for queuing each ride. you may bring your food and drink there since the price for lunch and dinner is extremely expensive, a Chinese pork with rice costs a hundred, terrible. I do recommend couples and children to be here. Nice place to capture you photos here and mid-level amusment rides, gd for children. 很好玩的樂園,我以前大學時經常去呢,好多不會太刺激的遊樂設施,也有好多打卡好地方,最近遊客變少了,也變得舒服多了,尤其聖誕節去就氣氛更好呢,情侶必到之地哦1

Having been to the majority of the Disney Parks this was one to tick of the list. It is a small park and can become quite crowded from time to time. At the time of my visit (Jan 2020) there were no queues, no need for fast passes and we managed to complete the park in one day. There were a couple of closures of the rides (Small World After All) and there was quite a bit of construction around the castle area but as we have been on these rides and seen other castles it wasn't a big deal.
Staff are friendly and helpful. Prices are as expected as Disney hikes the price up anyway. we had a cancellation of the Lion King performance due to technical difficulties and they were only willing to provide the last show as an alternative not the middle show which was for 'premium ticket' holders only. Could really see the issue of allowing us the middle show time as the numbers of people attending were so low. Think the management may wish to consider treating their disappointed customers a little better than they did.
The park was a short walk for us from the Disneyland Hotel where we were staying and as there were no people on this walk it felt as if we had the place to ourselves.
Lack of visitors they are putting down to the HK protests, but the park is small and not that cheap overall

Not a magical Disney as I expected
with the effect of COVID, many activities were suspended as expected, but it is not an excuse for poor services.
If the park really concern about the pandemic, it should not allow that amount of people to enter the park. All facilities needs to wait for 30+ minutes as usual (means number of visitors are not less), and no distant between people in the queue.
Cannot feel any magical Disney atmosphere. Staff in the park is not enough and speak to you in a tone that unlike the Disney I used to be. Though there were still some nice staff, overall experience is not nice.
While I get in the line to take photo with the Disney character, I was stopped when it was my turn, the staff in a cold face said Pluto needs to leave, another character will come out soon. I asked the staff may i take photo with Pluto, but he just said no.
Why don’t you tell me earlier, to stop me from waiting? My kid is 1 year old and Pluto is the only character he knows, and when another character came out, my kid is totally freak out and can’t stop crying.
It makes me wonder am I really be in Disney? The magical Disney?
Insufficient information. To reduce contact to people , it said no more physical park information booklet is provided. Staff told me I can download Disney app to get the information, but the app is too slow and unfriendly.
I suggest you place a open shelf and let people to take as they wish. Without sufficient information I m totally lost and didn’t know the schedule of different activities.

I'm a regular visitor to this Disneyland Park, although this was my first visit in three and a half years due to be recent pandemic. A lot has changed with the refurbished castle now fully opened and some new artwork around the entry and park. It's still a great park to visit and I highly recommend making use of the two day pass, I only had the single day pass and spent the entire day here, I was exhausted by the end. The new Castle of Magical Dreams is wonderful with a lot of small details you really have to have a good look at. Hong Kong's Disneyland is the smallest of all the Disneyland branded parks but it's still jam packed with rides and shows and other experiences to make for a truely magical day. Don't forget to stay for the evening show, Momentous, it's a magnificent display you won't soon forget. Remember to take a water bottle, refill station are dotted around the park. Bag checks are carried out prior to entry and currently tickets must be pre-purchased and visits booked online, also check opening times as the park isn't open everyday of the week at the moment (this may change in coming months)

As always, my visit to hk disneyland was magical. From the exciting rides, character interactions to the live 'follow your dreams' 15th anniversary show, it never failed to entertain me throughout the day. Absolutely loved how nice and sweet the cast members were and how they always tried to make every guest's experience as magical as possible. However, would definitely recommend guests to bring a hand-held fan or some sort of cooling devices there as (especially in the summer) the sun is scorching hot. Besides that, downloading the hk disneyland official app would be a great help for guests to check the waiting time of each ride before deciding to head down to a particular ride. As an annual disney pass holder, I'm definitely looking forward to visit hk disneyland again.

Please advise what are the nice food options inside Disneyland for both lunch and dinner. Thanks!!
Written 17 May 2023
Food options are available in the restaurants, food court and food cart/stalls, however slightly overpriced and mediocre quality. as there are no other options and you can't bring in food, it leaves you with the only choices of either going to the restaurant or eating the snacks at the food stalls. as we spent all day there and gotten really hungry, we ended up eating from all the stalls we passed by, a snack, burger, fish'n'chips, turkey, sweets, here and there, just to make sure we got the most out of the park without spending too much time in one spot. food stalls quickly run out of food, when bigger groups are around, and only replenishing slowly. about 2 hours before the light show and closing, food stalls are selling out and slowing closing, depending on the location.
