A 15 minute walk from Prince Edward MTR next to the Flower Market. Not for everyone, but an intriguing look at this aspect of local culture. A wide range of birds there: finches, love birds, parrots, myna and some amazing song birds. 30 years ago...More

We visited the flower stalls and Yuen Po Bird Garden in Mong Kok for a glimpse into a more traditional Hong Kong market. We sat on a garden bench, and watched elderly locals take their caged birds for a stroll. Then the men would present...More

This is a bit away from the very centre but not far by metro. The bird market is really interesting, with many sorts of colourful birds. Next to it is the flower market, also pretty.

The Bird Garden is a horrible place. Many shops and stalls selling beautiful birds, but virtually all of them are kept in the most appalling conditions - 20 budgerigars in a cage suitable for one, cockatoos and small parrots so squashed in that they can't...More

Nothing special except for the beautiful singing of all the birds. Hated to see them all in cages and unable to fly. Don't get the appeal.

Bird market is a must i Hong Kong. Colorful birds in nice cages. Living insects as birdfood. The flower market is close as and additional visit.

This was a pretty cool sight to see. I got tons of cool pictures. The street feels very old school like you've rewound time 50 years. If you like laid back cultural walks with some sights, this is for you.

There's nothing out of ordinary, it's a huge park with a lot of bird vendors at streets; if you have enough time it's nice to take a walk hearing birds songs and a normal peace of a normal park.

Culturally you wouldn't get this in the UK as it would be deemed as cruel but in the context of hong kong it's an experience not to be missed. Birds of every shape and size. Sit and people watch as the local barter and swap...More

We went for some takeaway dim sum at nearby One Dim Sum restaurant and brought it to this park. Bird hobbyists bring their birds here for airing, showcasing and comparing. Very amusing to see and spend some time here.
