Very pleasant and close to shops.

Just a pleasant place to unwind. Nicer when less crowded, during the week. Accessed by escalator through the Pacific place shopping mall, at the western end..

I always enjoy visiting this place either with my aging parents or friends visiting Hong Kong. The Tea Museum in the 19th century residence of the English navy and army admiral (the Flagstaff House) offers free lectures. It houses some of the rarest traditional Chinese clay tea pots. I learned how to appreciate Chinese tea at this museum. Don't forget... More

Lunch in the park stroll in the park; shelter in the aviary/greenhouse during rain - this park is the best thing about central HK!

A peaceful park in the madly busy Hong Kong, with beautifully planted manicured gardens. Visit the models of temples and the bonsais.

There is the Bird Aviary, there are the fountains, there are restaurants, there are benches to just sit. It is a MUST from my perspective - went both times in JULY?AUGUST 2016 and April 2017.

This park, adjacent to the Conrad Hotel, provides a serene moment in the midst of a busy city. The uniquely-painted staircases, the tranquil ponds and the sanctury for birs are among the many attractions.

The entry to the Park is free. The park is within easy reach from the Admiralty MTR station. Going first into the Pacific Place, there is an escalator going directly to the park. There are lots of things one can do, including visits to a Tea Museum where one can try Chinese tea and dimsum. The large aviary on the... More

You would not believe it just by looking around most of Hong Kong, but this wonderful park area makes you feel like you've left the hustle and bustle of the big city far behind. Many varieties of animal and plant life can be found here. You can easily wander about for 1/2 day and 'escape' the city for a while.... More

Staying in Central

Neighbourhood Profile
Central
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
