I sparingly use the term. I was wandering around Soho and the next thing I knew there was this cool colonial building. In checking it out I discovered the museum and the legacy of Dr. Sun Yat Sen, a Christian, western educated physcian who is...More

The building is a monument to Sun Yat Sen and consists of Western and Chinese styles. The beautiful main staircase provides access to all floors in the museum. No photos were allowed and guards enforced that rule. The stain glassed windows adorned Kom Tong Hall...More

A definite must-visit. Great museum for history lovers. It is not as much for the exhibits, but for the explanation of the history of HK.

The museum is actually housed in a well preserved Western style mansion which itself is an interesting tour, to get a glimpse of how the rich and famous lived in the early 20th century. The displays are spread out on different levels of the building...More

Interesting free museum housed in a well-preserved large Western style mansion - pretty rare in Hong Kong. Informative exhibits on Dr Sun Yat Sen and in particular his relationship with Hong Kong (he was introduced to liberal Western values while studying in Hong Kong); though...More
