Clothes and accessories were cheap and they allow bargaining. The bad thing is that they do not have many public toilets. It is also easy to locate.

Sham Shui Po is hub of street markets clustered in the area around the MTR Station including Cheung Sha Wan Road which is informally called Fashion Street. This street is lined with over 200 small wholesale clothes and fashion shops, many of which sell directly to walk-in customers.

It is a fun place for the ladies to do a bit of shopping, popping into the loads of unknown clothing brand name shops to browse and potentially purchase fashionable & casual clothes. Prices are often on display in the shops that sell directly to walk-in customers. Otherwise, just ask, they'll let you know now.

Ok, if you really like bargain shopping. DO VISIT this first. This is for the ladies. My sister saw some blouses which she bought for 100 HKD elsewhere in hkg, selling for 50 HKD. do note that this is a wholesale place so if you buy 3 to 5, you will get cheaper prices. SO BETTER COME WITH ALL YOUR FRIENDS

This street is full of boutique shops. I started walking from the Cheung Sha Wan Goverment Offices Buliding towards the Monk Kok direction. I think most of the stocks are manufactured in China. I was told that I could find all those clothes from the TaoBao website. Unfortunatly I can't read Chinese,so shopping in the street is the easiest way. However there is one shop impressed me very much, SH Supplies. The shopkeeper is super friendly. She was helping a family, a tourist and then she saw me.Gave me the warmest greeting and helped me find the most suitable hair conditioning product. Besides that, this shop is selling many other european tolietries with a reasonable price. I'm so glad I didnt take the taxi right after I got my travel document from the goverment offices. This street is full of the taste and surprises of Hong Kong.

Sham Shui Po part of Cheung Sha Wan Road. This is where Africa comes to buy clothes. The wholesalers line the entire street, both sides. And there are hundreds of wholesale buyers from Africa.

Shops sell off samples cheap. How cheap? From $5 a piece.

This is a long old street for fashion. Famous for fashion and they do supply other countries' boutique. Great place to shop with reasonable price. There are many old buildings here in Sam Shui Po so you can take some pictures here too.

Few more streets centralized here like clothes stalls, toys and etc.

Cheung Sha Wan is first and foremost a wholesale market street where a multitude of clothing and accessories are dealt with between wholesalers and retailers. This is different than the Fashion Street (Granville Rd.) in TST where retailers are selling clothing directly to walk-in customers.

Even as such, it can be interesting to walk up and down Cheung Sha Wan and you'll find that quite a few of the shops will sell items to walk-in customers as well. You can always look anyway.

This area of the city, Sham Shui Po, is a real hotchpotch of cheap, tacky, fun, cute things to see (and buy) things that are new and second-hand. Lower commercial rent allows for these type shops to thrive here, providing a completely different shopping experience here compared to the more expensive areas of the city.

In the end, walk-in shopping on Cheung Sha Wan is like a treasure hunt or a massive jumble sale with potential for some nice finds.

The prices for clothes here are much cheaper in comparison to very tourist-packed areas such as the Ladies Market (p.s. it is not worth it to shop there at all!).

My friend got a cute shirt ( like H&M quality) for 50HKD, whereas elsewhere she would have had to bargain it down from 180HKD most likely. We tried to bargain, but the prices are set since they are already very cheap already.

I wouldn't come back again simply because I feel like the clothes won't change in terms of style very often. But if you do want to shop for clothes at a location filled with locals, try Cheung Sha Wan Road (Sham Shui Po MTR Station, Exit C1).
