There were many shops in Causeway bay, many tourists around. You can find some local people selling stuff underneath the bridge to the locals and even those sitting there with a wooden shoe beating a human shape paper on the floor. Some local believe doing so could avoid the evil people - the lady appeared to be cursing the paper... More

The area has a large range of shops and restaurants. Surely a nice place to spend money. And it's always crowdy.

You can also enjoy reasonable price dim sum at Sino plaza, 誉宴, or famous teochew noodle for breaskfast, 银龙,and continue shopping in this area. You can also take ding ding/tram from north point to causeway bay in a cheaper price too.

The major shopping dining entertainment district on Hong Kong island. Area of many malls and offices mixed together to form a commuting and shopping hub by day and bars and restaurants by night. Lively to say the least.

It is an area for shopping with big department store. If you look for cheaper things, it might not be suitable. You might be able to find japanese fashion in some stores. The zebra crossing outside sogo is full of people all the time. Tourist might feel interesting to see

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centres of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
