...which has some superb restaurants, bars and shops. Taco Tuesday at 11 Westside or Little Creatures, oysters at Shoreditch or getting beers to go from Tramline

It is located only around a 5-min walk from Kennedy Town MTR Station and you can hardly find a waterfront area where it is pet & skate friendly on HK Island with such a huge open area. We went with our dogs and grabbed some food to eat on the bench between 3 pm and 5 pm.

「粉紅色的Grain , 以前叫little creature?」
💋💋Address: Shop 1, 五福大廈3-5 New Praya, Kennedy Town💋💋
本身係想嚟堅尼地城名叫little creature嘅西餐店,雖然唔係話好好食,但勝在位置夠多同埋夠chill!
但今日嚟到發現⋯原來已經轉咗手,變晒粉紅色tone嘅Grain!!
The salad is just amazing as it is a one bite salad, in every bite you can feel all the fresh prawn and vegetables are all swimming in your mouth, and of cause it taste really good!
And for the price I think it’s around $3-400/ person!
For the food quality, service, environment, it’s acceptable range!

Lots of bars, different local and international cusinese and decent gym in Kennedy Town. Best Chicken pot in the hawker centre next to MTR in whole of Hong Kong
Streets are clean with friendly locals and amazing view of the harbour
would recommend if you like to stay a bit off the main touristy zone

Love Kennedy town, such a dynamic atmosphere with many shops, bars and restaurants. Streets are also way cleaner than other areas in HK.
Whatever you're looking for, KT has it. Great mix community between expats and locals, and super convenient thanks to the MTR.

Kennedy Town is a popular expat community around 3-4 kilometres west of Central and Sheung Wan on Hong Kong Island. This is a thriving residential area with plenty of restaurants, bars, coffee shops catering to the area community.

Not much in the form of hotels here nor a lot of sightseeing in the area. However, there is access to the harbour and promenade providing seaside leisure.

Kennedy Town is well connected to popular areas by way of the HK Tramline as well as the Island Line which ends at the Kennedy Town MTR Station that opened up in 2014.

Kennedy MTR station is relatively new, having opened few years back. This is the first time we dropped by here so we intend to spend time exploring… No big shopping Malls to boost but instead many shop houses, cafes with a few streets boosting the higher-end boutique shops. Eat is not a problem with many local favourites’ and abundance of delicious and affordable eateries including dim sum (eg Hong Kong’s most authentic Lin Heung).
Visit some historical building such as Po Lan Temple to have a sense of the olden days here.
It is still a quiet neighbourhood which exalts its own world charm. Not too laid-back but tempo slower than the likes of downtown TST, MK, Central…
Definitely not to be missed mentioning will be the Kennedy town promenade. Located at the northern side it is just 10 mins walk from the MTR station. The Central and Western District Promenade, located just parallel to Instagram Pier, is one of Hong Kong’s more spectacular waterside promenade. An ordinary cargo dock has become an urban backdrop for selfies and walking leisure activities and even portraits. We have timed it to be late-afternoon so took much sunset photos and then crossed over to the famous Instagram Pier. A up-&-coming, happening and photographic-centred one… my opinion. haha And set me thinking about best IG shot places back in SG..
Rounding the trip we returned via Just nearby is the Japanese Yatai shopping centre too. The MTR station here is “HK University” instead.
I have reviewed few HK destinations like North Point, Shatin etc but Kennedy Town offers a differing perspective. Come and experience it yourself too!
