If you're after something not so touristy then this will be the cheapest market to buy whatever you forgot to bring with you! There are some stalls that sell souvenirs but it is mainly for the locals to buy up their everyday items so haggling isn't usually going to get you a cheaper price in this market. It's worth a... When visiting Mongkok, we stumbled upon the Fa Yuen Street Market Building and it was one of the highlights of our day in Mongkok. There are 3 stories but the 3rd story with food seems to be frequented only by locals. Visit the 1st ad 2nd floor. My favorite is seeing all the seafood on the first floor. It's truly... More

Just happen to walk past the night market at Fa Yuen street on my way back from Bute Street, Prince Edward. The night market set up was more spacious vs the super pack & stuffy ladies market which I avoided at all cost now. However, dont just look at the stuff at the market, but also go over to the... Take the MTR from Hong Kong Island, and disembark at Mong Kok Station where you will look for pedestrian street level exit B3. Fa Yuen Street Market aka "Ladies Market" is located in Mong Kok neighborhood, reportedly the most densely populated area in the world. That fact alone is worth visiting this neighborhood. It is by far the best street... More

In the Fa Yuen Street, there are numerous shops selling all types of flowers from the early morning till afternoon. I had seen shops opened as early as 5am and some closed till late evening. The scents of the flowers were fascinating and leaves with a nice feeling.

First time visit to this market.. we take taxi from our hotel in nathan road, the cost around 40-50HKD. A long market.. a lot of items you can find in here, such a fresh fruit, clothes, dry food, snacker, fish , pet shop, medicine, etc. The place near the kowloon area..

Like a silly westerner, I expected shops to be open at 9am...nope! The only thing open was a couple of shops in the Goldfish Market, 1 shop in the Flower Market and a couple of industrious stands at Fa Yuen! Pretty disappointing when you had a ton of money burning in your pocket! However I fixed it by popping over... More
